A PR stunt to raise money for a women’s charity will be happening on Edge Hill campus this afternoon.

It will be highlighting the issue of domestic violence by wearing sunglasses, the wackier the better,

The event is a collaboration between West Lancashire Women’s Refuge and Robert Healiss, 3rd year Public Relations

student at Edge Hill.

He said: “The sunglasses will be used to symbolise the way victims hide their abuse, as well as showing how others

look away and choose not to acknowledge the subject because it is taboo subject.”

So get down to the entrance of Edge Hill’s library for about 12pm and join in the fun.

They will be taking donations for West Lancashire Women's Refuge.
