PRINCIPAL’S NEWS
GREETINGS!
It is great to be back and into what is shaping up to be, a very busy Term 4. The school staff has been busy involved in concert preparations, evaluating school programs and also developing the school plan for the coming year. Shortly, they will begin annual student reports. It is all go, go, go! I will be absent at the beginning of next week, as I have to attend a regional principal’s meeting in Dubbo. I am hoping that this will be my last major commitment for the year, as far as trips away are concerned. I thank the school community for their patience, but, with the changes currently occurring in the DEC, it is a requirement that these meetings are attended.
SCHOOL EXCURSIONS
Our Year 4/5 students are heading to Broken Hill next week. I am sure they will enjoy the activities planned for the 3 days. Some Year 6 students will also be involved in a Creative and Practical Arts camp next Thursday and Friday at “TARA” on the banks of the Darling at Wentworth. This is not an overnight camp, but the students will be involved in two days of tutoring from local artists. This camp has been organized by the NSW Country Areas Program and is a great opportunity for these students.
