WelcomeHi, May I firstly say on behalf of the whole team at Beds SU, a big warm welcome to the University of Bedfordshire. I’m Joseph the current President of your Students’ Union, a not-for-profit charity, run by students for students. Along with four other students elected as Executive Officers my job is to support and represent your interests, as well as to ensure you get the most out of your university experience. As you have now confirmed you will be studying at the university you will be automatically signed up as a member of Beds SU. This gives you access to all the services we provide, including representation, advice, clubs & societies, social events and more. This membership guide will give you an overview of what we offer at Beds SU and how you can get involved. Please also know that our doors are always open, come and see us if you have a question, concern or just want to have a chat. Best,

Be Heard
www.bedssu.co.uk
Most students don’t realise that Beds SU is run by its student members,
Whether that is through becoming a Course or Department Rep, voting in elections or voicing your opinion, the power is literally in your hands. The student body elects representatives to educate and empower students alongside a dedicated staff team to become the drivers of change across the University and Beds SU.
THAT’S YOU!
Whether this is through informal discussions, campaigning or submitting a motion to the Beds SU Annual General Meeting, we put the student voice at the heart of everything we do. Representatives can be found on your course, in sport teams, societies and more broadly in the Students’ Union itself.
There are plenty of opportunities for any student to become a representative with elections taking place throughout the year. Please visit www.bedssu.co.uk/heard or pop into your SU and speak to one of the team to find out more
