Welcome To Your Occupy SF @ Justin Hermann Plaza 2011 !

Starting in 2006, a Yahoo Group was started to create a loose unofficial coalition ofconcerned & compassionate individuals; social justice groups; loyal city, state & unionized

    workers; shelter & social program staff (from allwalks of life); investigative journalists;

progressive media; city committees; selectpoliticians & public health leaders TOGETHER -ignited a major push for Reforms in our CitysHomeless Shelters; Housing Programs; SRO(single room occupancy) Hotels; and city, stateand federal agencies which all failed to protectour most vulnerable residents.

THE PROBLEM TRUTH WAS WELL HIDDEN FROM YOU ALL !

Whistleblowers were constantly being assaulted; denied services by the majorshelter providers as they fought to expose major abuse, corruption, assault, rape, food

theft, intentional food poisoning, human trafficking, povertypimping, embezzlement & crack smoking staff on the payroll ofour citys coffers on contracts to non-profit churches &community groups.

Hundreds of millions of dollars went into a system wheresome 15,000 to 20,000 people had been recycled for more thana decade with near zero oversight or awareness on the part ofthe general public and NP Donors who never knew.

YOU DONATED & FUNDED MILLIONS IN A SYSTEM WITH ZEROACCOUNTABILITY/OVERSIGHT

In 2000, our shelters had gang thugsrunning them the people who designed the million dollar systems to takecare of our Most Vulnerable Residents failed to include Uniform HiringStandards they decided to make the lowest threshold possible for hiring so, they all got tax credits for hiring recently released Felons to take care ofrooms full of people already traumatized and suffering from abuse andtrauma.

TRAUMATIZED CONVICTS HIRED TO MONITOR AND BE ROLE MODELS FOR THE TRAUMATIZED

Large percent of the staff hired were illiterate; without social skills or a proven record (ayear?) of good behavior outside prisons we know they were abused at; and will repeat abuse theysuffered for years in prison - upon anyone who appears to be weak or easy to prey upon inshelters. Until ALL prisons are reformed by people like Honorable Tom Ammiano to insure ourprisoners come out as sociable, well taken care of humans; we cannot allow them to fail; reoffend orharm our shelter or program residents & staff. When angry men come out of state prisons, they

lack discipline & social skills to deal with people, let alone the mentally ill, elderly, vets and peopleon big pharma meds. (Billions to Big Pharma in SF) THEY NEED OUR HELP! THEY ARE 99% !

THESE SHELTERS WERE CRIME ZONES MAKING THOUSANDS BY THEFT & EXTORTION

Staff & Management at the 3 or 4 largest city contracted shelter systems were abuse, assaultand premature death zones. They were selling pillows, blankets, beds and cocaine for cash. Gunsin their belts and bags of powder on the counters. Most premium food, blankets, sleeping bags,

clothes routinely stolen by staff; sold at 4 distribution points in Tenderloin & Fillmore Districts.MSC South Shelter at 5th & Bryant had an industrial kitchen in the basement used to cook up meth atnight. Staff there (who today, still work in other shelters here) used to rent 3 or 4 vans (20 40passengers) to take shelter residents to pick up monthly SSI Checks. Then theyd drop them off inthe Bayview next to gangs for few minutes; thugs would crowd around them; then staff drives backaround- offer to give ride back to shelter for half their SSI checks.

THE COMING TOGETHER OF ALL ALLIED & OPPOSING FORCES ONTO ONE WEB SITE

James the Advocate interviewed over 1,200 residents & staff inside these systems that havecaused millions of dollars in costs for emergency response, trauma, disease, violence only due to

lack of oversight inside a totally corrupted group of rotating staff who would get fired from one siteand go work at another, the next day.

Based on those interviews, its estimated that over 12,000 residents were shuffled fromprogram to program to make numbers for funding, but yet, noone ever really got out unless theydied prematurely, which happened a lot. Life Expectancy ran about 40. 6 years of age in oursystems or 20 years less than Normal Life Expectancy.

In essence, we funded Harm Creating Death Machines which robbed our communities ofmillions of dollars, thousands of lives and 20 years off of everyones life. Not to mention the harmcaused by thousands of underfed, sleep deprived homeless & shelter residents forced by starvation& desperation to beat, rob & steal to get what our systems were supposedly already providing them.

    One massive fraud.

GOOD RESIDENTS, STAFF & INSIDERS ALL BANDED TOGETHER IN SOLIDARITY -ANONYMOUSLY

After James the Advocate, James the Black Militant & their cohorts suffered assault by staff;theft, threats, injuries & denial of services there (after exposing food theft at Episcopal CommunityServices Next Door Shelter) they got smart and set up a series of Anonymous Web Sites to exposeall the wrongdoings of ANY person, place, policy or practice which harms any of our homeless, elderly, vets or good locals to the entire world.

The first site was The SFHomeless Yahoo Group. Log on codes were distributed to a dozentrusted locals, as admins & moderators. Today, after 4 years, we have 170 solidmembers there. Weve had over 50,000 Page Views of your published stories.

People who care & people with some power were targeted for inclusion into asingle site or hub to post selected rumors, tips, facts, complaints, bestpractices, investigations, support building and issue discussions all on thesame table for all to see; to take any action necessary to seek out truth &dislodge sources of harm inside every agency, non-profit, office, street, alley,

caf, program, shelter here, and as a world model for all.

Every known social justice group (i.e. Southern Poverty Law Center), legal experts, homelessgroups, health experts, city, state & federal oversight & watchdog groups and local media like:

SFHomeless.Net (Revival Ministries), Southern Poverty Law Center for example.

    The SF Shelter Monitoring Committee; Local Homeless Coordinating Board, Project HomelessConnect;

Original Members of the SF Homeless Coalition (Willie Warren),

    The Coalition on Homelessness SF,

National Archdioceses - Boards of Major Churches (who run our homeless & housing services

Food Stamp Investigators (to nail JP Morgan for retailers charging illegal Sales Tax & Processing Feeson EBT Food Stamp Cards),

SF Homeless Outreach & Department of Public Healths Dr. Deborah Borne (our Joan of Arc)

SFBGs Amanda Witherell who went undercover to support Standards of Care with facts.

KALWs Allison Budner who interviewed our Angel Eric Bayer (available on CD).

Our Hero Shane Bauer, who wrote factual homeless articles as independent journalist with integritybefore he got stuck in Iran as a political pawn.

All invited to The Anonymous SFHomeless sites (i.g. SFHomeless Yahoo Group, SFHomelesson Facebook; NowPublic.com; Flickr.com; Groupspaces.com), so we could put an end to the liesand get down to business - together, as one big family. The family of the Elite 500 Families andall ex-government workers, spies, intelligence sources & citizen journalists all joined the group.

Hundreds of photos of rotten meals, stories of intentional food poisoning at Next DoorShelter by a thug Staff Cook who was raping women there, selling drugs to multiple gangs & selling$10,000 in food out the back door in 2007, some Subway Sandwich Shops & pizza shops limitinghours & charging illegal Sales Tax, Kroger Foods charged families illegal sales tax on Food Stampsfor over a decade! Police & Staff abuse, embezzlement by Shelter Directors, rape, murder, mayhem. We even caught DPW staff on video spraying chemicals on our sleep deprived homelessat the library and at civic center plaza.

One advocate, Tom Piccarello contacted SF Bay Guardian and The Friends of the SF PublicLibrary to build a Free Library inside the Next Door Shelter and didnt cost a dime! Our cookreplaced the poisoner cook (who died at the Cadillac Hotel of an overdose of cyanide) andstarted serving Shrimp Scampi in butter sauce. Another SFPOWER grad cooks at Glide, with love.

Just this year, we caught 3 burly cops being nice to a middle east refugee laying onsidewalk. Moments later, a short, tattooed female cop in the Mission, starting beating on himviolently, until one of our street teams intervened. We caught store owners beating up transgendersand teenagers, as police officers REFUSED to take reports and ridiculed the victims and backed upthe cruel store owners in the mission and polk districts. One shelter had black water cascadinginto the middle of their basement dining room for years which came from bad sidewalks, streets andceiling above.

Our shelters were petri dishes for disease & death until all these various groups andopposing sides were joined together on anonymous web sites where noone is immune for any harmor threat they pose to any of our or residents here.

Our advocates and peers have worked with our legal and legislative and even our anarchistand rabble rousers to keep pushing the rights and needs of our people most at risk to be front andcenter in everyones mind who cares to check it all out.

This is the harsh reality which can only be changed when we all wake up and take time toresearch fact and take action to reduce harm and keep us all safe, as one united family, indivisible.

By posting all the tips, rumors, pictures, videos and real life stories all in one place, anonymously, there was no where left to run for the wicked and the good had no excuse to not actupon the bad acts and policies which were CAUSING HARM to us all.

The Solutions that came from all this complaining, investigations, reports and actions from all sidesby all kinds of ways and directions, our community now has proven our ability to empowerourselves with internet tools, networking, creativity, solidarity, and objectivity at a fraction of thecost and waste that existed before 2006. In 2011, we serve gourmet food and create stipendprograms and systems for tracking bad conduct of any resident, staff or city worker for all the world

to see. All San Franciscans should feel proud and get involved to keep this Train of Reforms &Empowerment on the move, by waking up; thinking for yourself; doing research and meet morepeople, on line and in person who are doing something to help us all, in peace.

ANGELS LIKE HENRY WILSON & ERIC BAYER WHO CAME, SAW, FELT COMPASSION &DEDICATED THEIR LIVES TO OUR 99% STRUGGLE, EVERY DAY! THEIR SPIRITS LIVE ON IN ALLOF OUR PEOPLE WHO ARE PAYING ATTENTION AND TAKING ACTION EVERY DAY TO HELPEACH OTHER TO SHARE & LIVE IN PEACE & GOOD HEALTH AS ONE COMMUNITY UNDIVIDED

    AS BROTHER & SISTER.

One man of great honor named Eric Bayer came here from Hawaii for a short vacation. Hestarted feeding our hungry homeless residents Gourmet Food on the streets and eventually started

Food For Thought (who are here to serve us today!) which brings local restaurants into sponsoringdonations for the Food For Thought Program.

Then he became an SF HOT Team Case Manager whocame to 1st Cup Friday Socials where he and his peers from SFDPH, Tom Waddell Clinic, UCSF Intern Nurses and othersserved us Organic Coffee, Berry Smoothies, Stir-Fry Veggiesfor our stomachs.

For our tired feet, they gave us hot oil footrubs & gave us a stable safe

place to be, to rest, to heal,to medicate (for validcannabis patients) andsocialize in community.

They took us to places like operas, baseball games, the Monterey Bay Aquarium (where ourphotos of sea life were chosen & published in local Monterey County Tourist Guides!) to keep usintegrated with our community.

Eric gave us Hope & Unconditional Love. He saw the good inside each one of us and rarelyshowed us anything but total respect & love. He Empowered us all by starting a revolutionary

Empowerment Program called SFPOWER (Peer Outreach Workers Exemplifying Recovery) andasked a group of 30 of the most service resistant (aka abuse resistant) homeless to join a 12 to 20week meager stipend program which they could Create their own Job to give back to thecommunity or help themselves or their fellow homeless to be safer, healthier, more informed, activeand productive members of our family.

Some folks chose to help run a laundry service to help people who cant do laundry withoutsupport; others hated the bad acting security staff at the main library, so they put on DPH Outreach

Badges and went into the restrooms & common areas to intervene to help the people who acted up;needed help or a safe place to be or clean up or sleep.

80% of the people who refused services from Authority Figures in suits or uniforms tookadvice from their peer outreach workers and got services from the onsite HOT Team Worker at thelibrary. James the advocate chose to use a camera Eric purchased to do a newsletter anddocument all the abuses and harms to our people and city. For 12 weeks, we were treated like kingsand queens with gourmet meals, mentoring on our own business plans and gave talks to agenciesand groups about SFPOWER which cost a fifth of all other programs to date.

The end result was 75% of the 30 original SFPOWER members got housing, vocational andpermanent work after 12 to 20 weeks.

The SF Main Library hired five of the Graduates as permanent employees which LibraryJournals around the nation wrote up as The Model (to hire former homeless peers as outreachworkers inside libraries) for all libraries to follow, instead of hiring more security guards or pushaway the homeless, who are all former and future library patrons who just need loving approaches, not command & control tactics which always fail.

James and others went on to work inside the SRO Hotels where some 30,000 to 50,000residents are kept in largely unsafe, unsanitary, hazardous conditions, today. Still others serve ourpeers at 1st Cup Fridays with organic smoothies & stir fry veggies at 425 Eddy Street, where a lot ofthese cutting edge reforms, movements, brain storming & support building has been taking placefor the past several years, now. Still, the SF HOT Team needs our help to help our homeless. We

also have linked up with people doing reform in our SRO Hotels.

The Mission SRO Collaborative (one of 3 major non-profit groups who check on ourresidents in tiny hotel rooms) with the help of Board of Supervisor Member Ross Mirkarimi andothers at Dolores Street Community Services were able to get our citys 3-1-1 system to includecalls about problems & issues from SRO Hotel Residents to provide registered complaint logs andsharing of data between agencies, tenants, social justice groups and landlords to save lives andreduce costs and harm to all.

Last year one horrible landlords building was taken down in court action with cash awards, breaking the glass ceiling that used to hide bad landlords. The SFHomeless group, TenantsGroups & the SF Public Defenders Office and others have been tracking & exposing bad landlords,

criminal police officers and managers of buildings where harm is caused.

Other SFPOWER grads went to work inside our shelters and feeding kitchens to observe andprotect our people from harm in tax funded systems. Still others have gone on to volunteer instipend programs which only gives them a few hundred dollars, but makes them Eligible forHousing.

Our Gourmet Food Angel Eric Bayer passed away shortly after starting up SFPOWER and amemorial was held at the Dolores Park Church where we met every Wednesday to share gourmethome cooked meals (by our own homeless pro chefs!) and hundreds came out because Eric was afriend to us all.

OUR CITYS FIRST SANCTIONED HOMELESS GARDEN COMMUNITY WAS BORN!

Later, it was decided by his graduates, peers and people from Project Homeless Connectand the Hayes Valley Residents to construct ourcitys first homeless garden at Octavia & Lily Streets.Ahni (in pic with basket) was our first garden

manager. We worked with residents, SF HOT Team,Project Homeless Connect, Recology and manyothers to create this delicious garden.

It was dedicated to Eric Bayer, but theSFPOWER grads didnt want them to post a plaquefor Eric because even this garden, as wonderful as itis, deviated from Erics total empowerment model, when several folks were hired on a grant who werenot from our homeless community. Nepotism, hatedby the homeless in the shelters, hit the garden.

Many original members stepped back from the Octavia Garden to focus on perfecting EricsTotal Empowerment Model (in which we should have hired only the homeless who were waiting toget a stipend on that garden, who had spent the year supporting it or working it to make it happen)but not try to set up another garden community. Were all very proud of that garden, but nowmoving forward to starting up the Eric Bayer Foundation of Hope with the help of Erics family, friends and our city who cares about our people most in need.

James the Advocate is finalizing plans to provide sustainable, matching funding to supportall the little people like Food Not Bombs, Homes Not Jails and many others who keep feeding andprotecting our people in need, with almost no major support. Yet, they really care and feedhundreds every week. Sisters of Charity, Food For Thought and new groups all need our support. These are all groups we trust who have no hidden agendas.

For More Information or to offer support, contact James the Advocate by Text or Leave aVoicemail at (415) 449-1534 or message to SFHOMELESS on Facebook. The original SFHomeless

Yahoo Group, loaded with pictures & messages compiled over the past five years which exposesmuch of the bad food, corruption, abuse and fraud inside our Citys homeless, housing & socialservice industries that kept some 12,000 disabled, homeless, elderly captive in our shelters with nohope of moving on until we all banded together to expose it all and promote self empowermentmodels that came from the people, not the system.

    NOTES FROM JAMES THE ADVOCATE:

James the Advocate is me, James Leonard. My family moved to the SF Bay Area in the late 1970s;went to school & have worked here for decades. Ive worked at many financial institutions (BOA,Chase, Imperial Savings, Accredited Home Loans, GE Finance) & was Assistant Director of the CAState Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Aptos, CA, at Cabrillo College restarted by

Leon Panetta to help 400+ small businesses (mom & pop, too!)in Santa Cruz & Monterey Counties devastated by the affects

of FEMA & the Loma Prieta Quake of 1989. Ive also owned byown business a few times now.

After working with groups in Tijuana, Mexico (promotingmusic, art, culture & security in rural areas and helping withtheir annual festivals) for several years, I came to understandhow the rest of the world was faring, during a decade ofgreedy profits from war, oil & mental health caused by manmade toxins, bank fraud, war schemes & corruption.

Tijuana, once a peaceful mecca for tourists, lovers, rabblerousers, poets, artists, ex-patriots; ex-intel & military from all

nations used to party & live in peace, had sadly become a warzone divided by the Global Elite, Bush-PAN Election Fraud &land grabs.

To date, in past five years, over 50,000 people have died in US-Mexico Border Zones over Elite Drug Trafficking, Drug Wars &

Secret Ops by Bushs Krew. Mexico sold Voting Records to Choicepoint (aka DBT Technologies ofFlorida Election Fraud Fame) who gave them to the PANParty to use to defraud the election. Against MexicanConstitution.

After several happy years in Tijuana & San Diego I came

home (homeless in 2006) after Enron & the War on Terrorcrippled cross border commerce & enabled widespreadcorruption in Tijuana. I was anxious to see how bad theBush era wars had disaffected the Bay Area.

Once I saw the inhumanity in our systems and gotmad like distant cousins Phillip & John Burton - my rolemodels for inspiration.

I helped work on the SF Shelter Standards of Carelaws during 44 meetings (over 9 months) with locals &former BOS Tom Ammianos staff to write the laws which

now require things like Dignity & Respect; 2 Sheets, ABlanket & a Sealed Pillow; 8 hours lights out time;access to plug in cell phones & medical devices;increased nutritional standards & hygiene for All ShelterResidents, with Enforcement power via SF DPH to holdShelters accountable & to save lives!

Im a former Shelter Monitoring Committee Member (for ID Purposes); and work with theMission SRO Collaborative and others to keep us all safe, every day.

A bunch of disenfranchised cannabis patients started the SF Cannabis Patients Union tounite us all - on common movements to End Prohibition & Drug Wars (which are frauds); Free ournon-violent cannabis prisoners and take back all Natural & Constitutional Rights related to food, herbs and medicine from nature No Tax, No Control, No Man Made Exploitation of all peoplesrights to freely access all safe gifts from Nature.

80 years ago, the Elite gave us toxins& poisons (like alcohol & tobacco) which

have killed millions - took away safe, naturalcannabis, which has never harmed or killedanyone.

We cannot trust any monopoly orgovernment to keep us safe with cannabisbecause in 80 years, they have profited fromman made poisons they tax, control andregulate as we suffer, get diseases and dieprematurely from, while they profit.

    Our local collectives and grows

(including low end dispensaries recentlyharassed & threatened by FEDS) which weknow & trust (some for over 80 years in SF, Santa Cruz & Northern Counties) grow safe, qualitycannabis medication at a cost to patient of anywhere from $40 Per Ounce to $200 an ounce, depending on method of grow & rent cost to stick & mud dispensaries.

Elite factions have been using seats on the SF Medical Cannabis Task Force to EXPLOIT andeven intimidate our local growers and patients ( TF Members & others have stated intent to police &punish those out of town growers, delivery services in cannabis lifestyle magazines) to createmonopolies.

They seek to keep cannabis costs up to street prices from $200 to $400 per ounce in very

expensive, capital intensive, overpriced boutique dispensaries which have more to do with Ego,Profit, Power, Control & Exploitation than they do Healing patients at lowest cost possible, which isThe Intent of the People expressed in various state propositions and is the general consensus ofthe cannabis patients who are aware of all of this. Videos of TF Meetings on YouTube (axisoflove)bear this out. Most patients were against most of what this Task Force has done over the past year.

The SF Cannabis Patients Union was started to re-stitch the fabric of support for patientsbeing mistreated or gouged by Elite and out of state interests here to make mega-bucks on yourpain, suffering and need for a plant, that is grown by many, at less than $50 per ounce without needfor tax, control or regulation where there is no harm proven by any credible government agency orthird party think tank or medical community, period.

Our cannabis community has chosen to further our Natural Rights & Sovereignty, bypreventing Exploitation of our own safe, private doctor-patient-grower relationships out of thecorrupted, bloody hands of fear mongers, profiteers, mega-corporations & government who all seekto control you and profit by our medical needs and conditions.

We now attend meetings at City Hall and insist that Your Public Comments are summarizedand put into all official minutes & reports to keep our Board of Supervisors abreast of what YOUreally think about what our committees and task forces keep publishing as our will, which lately, more often than not, their work on these public bodies has in fact, been Against Our Public Will,Intent & Interests. Many bodies have been hijacked by special interests (many from out of town)who are pushing crap into the minds of our citys leaders. Unless YOU speak up to demand

  • 7/29/2019 Welcome to Your Occupy SF-V3 (2011)

    9/11

accurate reports go to them on what YOU THINK - the corruption & exploitation of our resources, spaces and people, will never end.

This cannot stand, so we have been uniting people together to raise awareness of corevalues and principles of justice, equity and police powers which all result in the fact that thegovernment has hidden (poorly) the known medical benefits and lied to you all to further alcohol &tobacco & big pharma drugs costing us billions, not including the prisons built to house all who getout of control, while using the legalized poison products of the Elite who loan us the fed notes to

bankroll the incarceration of people who have caused no harm, using a natural plant which causesno harm. Its Madness.

We are circling the wagons around all our Natural & Constitutional Rights to push back theExploitation & lies for profit by uniting all of our cannabis patients, doctors, growers who we trust, who operate at true cost and have proven records clean of harm to insure our needs are put aheadof all others, in the interest of True Justice & Equity under Natural Law & Rights which areInalienable.

This is why many helped roadblock Proposition 19, Tax, Control Measure because CannabisCauses No Harm, Thus Government Has No Legitimate State Interest to Interfere, Penalize orCriminalize That Which Helps and Does Not Cause A Great Harm. Unlike all of their other

illegitimate man made products which maim & kill us by the hundreds, every day, worldwide.
