What is WEB?

n  WEB is a year-long program

n  Goal is to help 6th graders adjust to first year in Middle School.

What do WEB Leaders Do?

n Attend Summer Trainings (June/Aug)n Semester Long Leadership Classn Year Long Committees – might change!

− Social Committee - Random Acts - Staff Recognition - Birthday− Teachers

n Other awesome and fun stuff!n Support 6th graders

Orientation Day – First Dayn  Participate in

ginormous and fun assembly

n  Lead small group activities and school tour

n  Have lunch with new Webbies

Committee Work:!Random Acts of Kindness

Social Events:!2016 Variety Show

Supporting 6th Gradersn  Having lunch dates with Webbies multiple

times during yearn  Helping in hallways with directions and

lockers in key early part of the school year.n  Assisting Webbies in need, for example

with their homework or personal problems

n  Helping with new students to Mt. Tabor

Who Should Be a WEB Leader?

n  Students who are:n  Responsible, and can manage 6th gradersn  Self-Confident and willing to do new things

n  Students who have:n  Strong personal charactern  Strong listening and communication skills

What If You Don’t Fit the Mold?

n  Don’t get discouragedn  You might think you don’t ‘fit the mold’ as described above

n  Some staff may see true potential in you

n  Sign up if you’re truly interested - you just may be a rising star

n  Complete Application form and short essay – due WEDNESDAY, Apr 26

n  Turn in form to Office or Libraryn  Important dates you MUST attend:
