1 WELCOME TO TRINITY Those Serving Today: Sound System: 8:00 Mike Calamari 9:30 Tim Boeneke MNP Brad Hicks Organist: Chrissie Rogerie-O’Quin Trumpet: Keller Kieschnick COMMUNION AT TRINITY We want you to feel welcome, loved, and know that we care deeply about you, your salvation, and your spiritual health. We value the opportunity to have a relationship with you in Christ. If you have any questions, doubts, or disagreements with our teaching on communion, we would love to hear from you and have a conversation so together we can explore God’s Word which says, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” (John 6:68) God’s Word teaches that partaking of the Lord’s Supper in an unworthy manner can result in God’s judgement instead of a blessing. So, we urge those who wish to participate to examine themselves as the Scriptures direct (1 Corinthians 10:14-22, 11:23-34). The Lord’s Supper is celebrated today in the confession and confidence that our Lord gives us not only bread and wine but His very body and blood to eat and to drink for the forgiveness of sins and to strengthen our union with Him and with one another. Our Lord invites to His table those who are baptized, trust His words, repent of all sin, set aside any refusal to forgive and love as He forgives and loves us, and desire, with God’s help, to conform their life to His Word. Participation in Holy Communion is also a profound proclamation of unity in faith (1 Corinthians 10:15-18; Acts 2:42-47). In sharing Christ’s body and blood at this altar, we indicate our common commitment to the teachings of Christianity as taught in this congregation. Any who are not yet instructed in the faith, in doubt of or in disagreement with what our church teaches are welcome to come forward and signal their desire to receive a blessing by crossing their hands over their heart. CONFESSION & ABSOLUTION

P The first disciples of Jesus had many fears and doubts after His death and after the tomb was found empty. We too have fears and doubts, and we too are haunted by the power of death. We pray for stronger faith, and renewed hope for this life and the one to come. Even in the excitement, joy, and victory of Easter, we remember our inability to free ourselves from our sinful conditions and our need the vary Savior who’s resurrection we celebrate today.

C Almighty God, you overcame death once and for all by raising Jesus from the grave. We ask now for your forgiveness for doubting your power. Raise us out of our fears and frailty that we may share in the hope of Christ’s resurrection.

P Almighty God in His mercy has given His Son to die for you and for His sake forgives you all your sins. As a called and ordained servant of Christ Jesus, I announce God’s grace unto all of you, and by His authority, I forgive you all your sins in the name of the Father and of the Son T and of the Holy Spirit.

C Amen. Alleluia!

PRAYER OF THE DAY

P We pray together…

C Almighty God, through Your only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ, You overcame death and opened to us the gate of everlasting life. We humbly pray that we may live before You in righteousness and purity forever; through the same Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen
