It is with great honor and excitement that on behalf of the family of Aaron “T-Bone” Walker, I welcome you to the 3

rd Annual

“T-Bone” Walker Blues Festival. My fa-ther was a great man as an artist, a hu-manitarian, a daddy, grandfather and rela-tive. He was a friend to so many and re-spected by all. He was always willing to share his stage with other artists and teach them what he knew. He knew no strangers and the world was truly his stage.

Many of the artists from the past years have returned to once again lend their talents to support the acknowledgement of a great American heritage, The Blues. Your pres-ence here this week-end and your support of this event is very much appreciated. It exemplifies the love Daddy had for this great world of music. To all of the artists thank you again for uniting and making this the best concert to be seen. To the City of Linden, Texas, we as a family thank you for recognizing the genius of a man who should never be forgotten.
