Harvey teaches & assesses bedside cardiopulmonary

examination and diagnosis skills

• Highly realistic heart and lung soundsSynchronized with pulses & respirations

• Non-auscultatory findingsPulses – arterial, venous, chest wall

• Harvey is specific in teaching/evaluation of cardiopulmonary exam/diagnostic skills.

• Harvey has UNIQUE heart and lung sounds found in NO other simulator.

• Harvey has hundreds of cardiopulmonary findings including many more murmurs and extra heart sounds, as well as arterial and venous pulses and chest wall movements.

•Harvey's heart sounds are synchronized with pulses and respiratory cycle, a required feature for performing an accurate, focused cardiopulmonary bedside assessment.

SimMan Essential 3G

• Make a 3G configuration where the user can get a wireless simulator at a current SimMan price level.

• Downscale 3G platform. Keep wireless functionality, but remove other costly components and evaluate general cost reductions.

• The functionality removed from SimMan 3G to make SimMan 3G Essential are:– Convulsion– Automatic Drug registration - RFID detection – Cyanosis– Secretion (but bleeding is in the bleeding version of S3Ge– Blinking remains no reactive pupils – Catheterization & urine output at a single rate remain (loose software

operated urine output– Lung Compliance– Airway resistance is only two levels (normal & blocked airway) Loose

variable control.
