Tearfund’s big focus over the next year is a campaign centred on access to anti-retroviral drugs (ARV’s)
These drugs are the difference between life and death for people living with HIV and can extend life by up to 20 years
Timings and activities
The campaign will launch 1st September
Planned activities to include : Christmas One Stop Shop Church pack, including a DVD to show in
church Tools for a Vigil service on Sunday 30th
November for World AIDS Day on 1st December
What is the One Stop Shop ?Resources to enable a combined presentation of Tearcraft, Living Gifts and the HIV campaign.
The concept:
‘One solution for all your Christmas needs : Tearcraft items for those you want to give tangible presents to and Living Gifts for those that would appreciate receiving an alternative way to engage with the work of Tearfund.
At the same time, learn about the issues around HIV and access to ARVs. Pray and support the work Tearfund does with the poor affected by HIV and AIDS.’
Simple and engagingThe one stop shop tools will enable you to:
Be effective in using existing Tearcraft sales opportunities to engage customers with the wider work of Tearfund
Encourage people in your church, workplace or community who would not normally take on selling Tearcraft to participate in promoting the different ways of supporting Tearfund
