The flag of the Seychelles was adopted on June 18, 1996. The oblique bands symbolize a dynamic new country moving into the future. The colour blue depicts the sky and the sea that surrounds the Seychelles. Yellow is for the sun which gives light and life, red symbolizes the people and their determination to work for the future in unity and love, whilst the white band represents social justice and harmony. The green depicts the land and natural environment.

Seychelles officially the Republic of Seychelles is a 155-island country spanning an archipelago in the Indian Ocean, whose capital, Victoria, lies some 1,500 kilometres (932 mi) east of mainland Southeast Africa, northeast of the island of Madagascar.

Other nearby island countries and territories include Zanzibar to the west, Mauritius, Rodrigues, Agaléga and Réunion to the south, and Comoros and Mayotte to the southwest. Seychelles, with a population of 90,024, has the smallest population of any African state.

The largest ethnic groups are those of African, French, Indian, and Chinese descent. French and English are official languages along with Seychellois Creole, which is primarily based upon French. Almost the entire population belongs to one of the Christian denominations, largely Catholic, with Protestant, Anglican, Adventist and other Christian minorities. The remainder are Spiritualists or Non-religious.

Tourism is the main source of income for residents of the Seychelles, which are among the richer African countries. The Seychelles is the protection of the environment is very harsh, making these islands a very attractive tourist destination, but also a leader in the field of sustainable tourism.Since 1993 a law guarantees the citizens the right to a clean environment, but also commits them to protect the nature. Coastal belt Mahe is definitely the biggest attraction of the Seychelles, and a mountainous interior of the island has many charms for lovers of active holidays. Mahe has numerous hiking trails with breathtaking views of the surrounding islands. The most popular destination for hikers in the Seychelles is the national park Mourne Seychellois. The park covers about 20% of the total area of the island and contains a great wealth of flora, including some species that are unique to Seychelles. The park is the highest peak in the Seychelles - Mourne Seychellois at an altitude of 905m, which offers stunning views of the island.

All distances are quite small and most of the population and visitors to the island moving on foot or on a bicycle. The island has no tourist promenade and bustling bars, and even the nature of quiet, discrete crickets you farewell in a dream. The biggest attraction of Praslin National Park Vallee de Mai, which is protected by UNESCO. Vallee de Mai is an ancient rain forest, which is filled numerous endemic species. It is rich in ancient ferns and palms bizarre shapes. The forest is so dense that the sun barely penetrates through the trees.

The dishes in the Seychelles are largely influenced by the rich culture of the islands. Creole cuisine,many dishes with seafood , stored in a variety of ways . The main treat is a special kind of fish Red Snapper . Takamaka Dark Rum on the beach under a starry sky,is the best way to end the day in the Seychelles. Characteristic of the Seychelles are definitely spices,which are completely authentic and traditional souvenirs are "coco- de-mer " and "sea walnut ",with homemade walnut trees. With this reason,coconut ("coco- de-mer ") is due to the shape of the seal that will hit the publican in the passport at the entrance to this country.
