• A’s B’s and C’s mean you’re learning!• D’s and F’s mean TRY AGAIN!!!

Writes Upon Request
• County-wide program
• Prepare students for the Florida Writes test in February.
• Monthly practice- 45 min. timed writings (WUR).
• 4 W.U.R.’s use county prompts and are recorded on the report card.
Accelerated Reader• Students…
– read an “AR” book – take a computer-based comprehension test– work on individually set goals
• The Program….– keeps track of individual reading
practice– provides information about reading success for the student, teacher, and
parent
Accelerated Math
• Just Started “Diagnostic Testing”
• Individualized practice of specific skills
• Tracks individual student progress and mastery of concepts.
Friday Folders
• #1 Purpose- Communication tool
• Classwork – graded and self-graded
• Newsletters, other school information
• Behavior- notes written on the front identifies areas needing attention
Homework: The Red Folder!
• Book logs- required reading
• Study spelling words
• Study math facts
• Daily assignments
• Finish incomplete work from class
• Special projects

• MEMORIZE a FEW at a time

the old ones! (just come back to them
less often)• WHY? All of the fourth grade curriculum for
the remainder of the year involves multiplication facts.
