What is the CFC?• CFC is the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace

fundraising campaign.

• There are more than 190 CFC’s throughout the country and internationally that raise millions of dollars each year.

• To date federal employees have collected over $6 billion dollars for local, national, and international charitable organizations.

• Pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season support eligible non–profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.

• The Central Ohio and WV CFC collected over $1.5 million dollars during the 2011 campaign.

Agency Keyworker Role• Attend Campaign Events and Keyworker Training.•  Get to know the campaign materials, especially the Resource Guide, Pledge Card,

website and online giving tools.• Make your own commitment and fill out your Pledge Card. • Help your Coordinator(s) plan and schedule Group Meetings. • Help publicize Group Meetings and donor incentives. • On the day of the Group Meeting(s), remind and encourage peers to attend. • Distribute Pledge Cards and Resource Guides at Group Meetings. • Make sure your co-workers understand the Donor Recognition Program and how to

use the pledge card to self-identify• Collect Pledge Cards at Group Meetings or as soon as possible afterward, return the

third (thank you) copy to the donor with our thanks.  Top copy and middle copy go to your coordinator. 

• Follow up with non-attendees.• Share CFC information, answer questions, and distribute Resource Guides and

Pledge Cards.• Ask your co-workers for their support this year.• When you receive recognition items from your Coordinator or Loaned Executive, use

the information provided to distribute these in a timely manner• Reconcile pledge cards (signature, accurate calculations, etc.)

Pledge Card

Completing the Pledge CardInstruct employees to use black ballpoint pen, write in

all capital letters and to press firmly!

3-Part Form:1. Top page goes to your Payroll Office.

2. Middle page (white carbon copy) goes in the Report Envelope.

3. Bottom page (pink carbon copy) to donor as confirmation receipt.

4. A lapel pin is given to all donors that submit a pledge card.

access to EEX for HR functions

• Will appear as an option 9/1-12/15 on the EEX site

• Reports will be made available periodically throughout the campaign and/or at the end of the campaign period

• Agencies that have access to EEX DO NOT have access to CFC Nexus

CFC Nexus• Provided by an external vendor

• Pledge detail will be printed and delivered, by your LE, for submission to your payroll processing department

• These reports should be submitted in your campaign report envelope along with other pledges and accounted for as such
