the speed limit sign back there?” “Yes, sir, I

did. It said 100km per hour.” The officer

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS NEWS

The Knights of Columbus Dr. J.F. Dunn Council 5153 recently made financial donations, during our “Annual Ham n’ Bean Dinner” on Sunday April 22 at St. Mary’s Church Hall:

We made a donation in support of three students from Notre Dame Catholic High School to spend a week in Sandy Lake First Nations Reserve in Northern Ontario. These students will be billeted with First Nations families to experience the lives and challenges facing the population of this northern community.

We also made a donation to the Jarous family whom the Council has consistently supported since their arrival from Syria to Canada. This contribution was to further assist the Jarous family in getting established in our community.

These financial donations to locally based people in need and non-profit organizations in our community are a primary objective of our Council and are made possible by your support as Parishioners for our fundraising initiatives. Your continued attendance and support of our Sunday breakfasts and dinner events etc. make this all possible. Thank you.
