Its really important to eat at least 5 portions of fruit & vegetables every day. They contain lots of vitamins and minerals your body needs to keep you fit and healthy.

Your task today is to design a fruit & vegetable superhero who can persuade young people to eat their 5 a day.

Your hero must be bright, bold and eye-catching with a clear message. Here are some examples to help you.

Fabric is made in lots of different ways depending on lots of

different things.

Do you know any names of different fabrics?

Fabric can be made from things in nature. This is called natural

fibres.

Fabric can also be made from manmade fibres known as

synthetic.

Felt, cotton, denim, linen, polyester, wool, silk…. There are hundreds! Did you get any?

Cotton is one of the most

common natural fabrics and

it is made by a process

known as ‘weaving’. Its done with very thin fibres which

look like lines of thread.

See if you can have a go at

weaving using stripes of

paper and tape. Advantages oIt’s hard wearing oIts strong

oIt has a smooth finish oIt is a cheap weave to produce

usually from chemical sources.

Synthetic fibres are man made

Robot Design Task

Design Brief - You should design a robot that could help you in some part of your life. You should draw what he/she would look like and label the drawing to explain what he/she does. Aim - To be creative and original in your ideas, see if you can think of jobs and skills for your robot that nobody else can think of. Try to draw your robot with lots of detail and well explained labels to show what he/she does.
