TRANSCRIPT
Welcome to Church House and to the first World Congress for Existential Therapy from Emmy and Digby, co-chairs, organizing committee
Please find a floor plan on the back of your programme in your congress bag. If you need any help or assistance, there is a volunteer (in a black T-shirt) on each floor, and a congress organizers desk on the first floor lobby outside the Bishop Partridge Hall. We will have a message board next to the desk and if you have messages please pass these to a person on the congress desk who can post them. You can also make last minute purchases for additional congress days or social events here, if we have any tickets left.
We may have to make last minute rooms changes, and they will be shown on the screen in the reception area, where you come in via Dean’s yard.
Please wear your badge at all times. If not, we may have to check your identity on our computer records, which may result in an annoying delay for you.
If you want to tweet about the congress, and you use #exist, your tweet will appear on the screen in the Bishop Partridge Hall.
There are goodies to be had from the SEA desk and deals, including signed books, from the book sellers, both in the Bishop Partridge Hall on the first floor.
We will be video recording all of the keynote presentations and round tables in the assembly hall, along with the opening and closing ceremonies. We may include shots of the audience. If you do not want to be included, please make sure that you sit on the balcony. We will have an official photographer at the dinner. If you do not wish to be photographed just politely ask him not to take your picture if he is pointing his camera at you.
We are offering various free demos of online materials during the congress. There is a separate leaflet with details. Please note the meetings about the formation of a world association and continental associations e.g. the European, Latin American, North American, African, Asian and Australasian meetings are expected to happen during the congress. Please see the programme for details.
The New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (NSPC) has organized this World Congress on behalf of the Existential Academy and would like to send you information about how to access the film of the congress and also further information about their courses, some of which are online and available from anywhere in the word. Please let us know by ticking the box on the feedback form (last page of this document) if you do NOT want to receive this information by email. You can unsubscribe at any time in the future from the NSPC list.
