School Hours & Attendance Birthday Policy
• We begin instruction promptly at 9:15am and continue learning up until the very end of the day. Therefore, early checkouts should be kept to a minimum.
STUDENTS CANNOT BE CHECKED OUT AFTER 3:15pm
• If your child is absent, please send in a note/email to explain. If your child is tardy, parents must walk & sign them in to the office.
• Long term absences should be communicated to both myself and the office.
• Birthdays may be celebrated during recess (1:10-1:40pm). Please notify me in advance if you plan to come in to celebrate.
• Birthdays can be celebrated pre-packaged/store-bought snack (be aware of allergies), by reading or donating your child’s favorite book to the class, etc.
• No birthday invitations are to be handed out at school.
Eating Lunch With Your Child
• You are welcome to come eat lunch with your child. You all may eat at the lunch table with the rest of the class or at the picnic tables just outside the cafeteria (must sign out).

Transportation Volunteers
• All transportation changes MUST be received by email, note, or phone call. It is best to notify the front office, especially after 2:45pm.
• Students are NOT allowed to ride home on a bus other than their assigned WCPSS bus.
• All volunteers and/or chaperones must have volunteer clearance through Wake County.
• To become an approved volunteer, you must complete the volunteer application on a computer here at school. The application must be completed again every school year and can take a few weeks to process.Please complete as soon as possible.
Bring Your Own Device
• Students may bring their own devices to school to be used for academic purposes only.
Registered Device + BYOD Permission Form/Contract• Once everything is completed, students may begin bringing their devices Monday, July 24th

Technology & Photo Permission Forms
Children MUST have a permission form on file
These forms are kept from K-12.
If you choose to change your choices made from previous year, a new form needs to be completed. Please request a new form if you need one.
(I can access this information. Please see/contact me if you have any questions regarding what you selected last year.)
Student files will be checked to ensure a form is on file. If you don’t have one, a form will be sent home with your child.
