Teaching Moment:
Why does the priest mix a small amount of water with the wine to be consecrated?
The mingling signifies the union of the divine and human natures of Christ, the priest says, "By the mystery of this water and wine may we come to share in the divinity of Christ, who humbled himself to share in our humanity." This mingling also signifies our union with Him in Holy Communion.

A Note from the Administrator...
Dear friends,
“Respect Life” Sunday is a great time to review our Catholic pro-life convictions:
Every person, at each stage of life, is an image of God and deserves respect.
Every person has rights: life, security, food, shelter, worship, education, decent work and wage, rest.
Creating a more just society --- where all receive their human rights --- is the obligation of every person.
Victims of gross injustice deserve our first attention.
We promote justice best when we act in “solidary”: with others instead of for them.
Society, government and the economy are for the good of people – not the other way around.
We are not owners of creation; we are to be its conscientious stewards.
When Pope Francis advocates these principals, he is not being “political” or a “Marxist.” He is professing rock solid traditional Catholic teaching.
Peace, All Good!
Fr. Mike
¡Paz y bien! Padre Mike

Respect Life Sunday October 3/4, 2015 Pope Francis reminds us that “All of us must care for Life, cherish Life, with tenderness, warmth…Caring for Life from beginning to the end. What a simple thing, what a beautiful thing!” The Respect Life Month of October is a wonderful time for evangelization, to bring our faith into the world. On October 3/4, 2015, our parish will have the opportunity to contrib-ute to the Life-Saving work of our Diocesan Pro Life Catholic Ministries, which represents each of us in efforts to pray, help, teach and advo-cate for those who have no voice but ours. Your gift can make a difference and help save lives throughout our community, to shine the light of the Gospel of Life on a hurting world.
Checks may be written out to the Diocese of San Bernardino, Memo Line: Pro Life
