Welcome Guests!
Please see page two for important information about today’s service and how to get the most out of your visit with us.
Baby Bottle BlessingMay 9-30 | AGAPE
To God be the Glory! September 1st of this year will begin AGAPE’s 25th year in this community.
Through these years First Federated has been a special blessing to this ministry. Your faithful participation has included prayers, donations, and volunteer assistance with our annual craft and bake sale, basement sales, flood cleanup, Life Sunday displays, Baby Bottle Blessing funds, and so much more.
Because of you many, many lives have been saved spiritually and physically. You have put His love into action. We are so privileged to serve the Lord of Life with you.
Jesus said, “Let the children come unto Me and forbid them not for of such is the Kingdom of God.”

we need volunteers! The church benefits greatly from the use
of technology. If you have that special abil-ity to understand computers (Macs & PCs), hardware and software, technology, audio/visual systems then we invite you share that expertise with us. Contact Dustin Damitz, [email protected].
new Commitment to Jesus?
Down through Church history, those who have put their trust in Jesus Christ for salvation showed it visibly to the world through baptism. If you would like to do the same thing, proclaiming to others that you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you will have that opportunity on Sunday, June 13 at 12:30pm (after The River service). We require all people interested in baptism to attend a short class in preparation. If you would like to be baptized at this service, or want more information about baptism here at Federated, contact Pastor Danny by Sunday, May 16.
new to Federated?
Would you like more information about First Federated Church? We invite you to attend the next Entry Point Class. This class is for anyone who is interested in joining First Feder-ated as well as those who would like more information about the church, our beliefs, and our various ministries. Sign up on the Care & Communication Card or contact Julie at 255-2122 or [email protected] to reserve your place!

local Mission experienceJuly 18-25, 2010
Do you want an opportunity to be involved in a great mission experience right here in Iowa? We will partner with a Swahili fellowship, attend their church on Sunday, have a lunch with them, and then hand out flyers inviting families to a VBS eve-ning program from Monday-Wednesday, that we will help to run and organize. Each morning we will be out doing work projects at ministry and seniors sites. On Thursday we will travel to Twin Lakes Bible Camp, help with work projects Thursday- Friday then on Saturday enjoy some relaxing and fun at the camp and head home that evening. The costs each day will be $10 a person, which includes a sack lunch, an evening meal at FFC, and supplies for the week. That means for the whole week it will only costs $50, or for a family of 4, $200. The schedule will be flexible, so you can come in the mornings or evenings, or make plans to just help at Twin Lakes. If you have questions or need more information call John Porter at the office, email [email protected] or contact Jane Christiansen.

Parent/Child DedicationSunday, May 9, was a very special day for five families as
they brought their children before the Lord and our church family in a time of dedication. The parents have made a com-mitment to “train up a child in the way he should go,” as God instructs in Proverbs 22:6. Please continue to pray for, support and encourage these little ones and their parents.

today in kZ Church Cain and Abel were supposed to give
something to God to thank Him for all He had given them. Abel gave God his best sheep! God really appreciated Abel’s offering. But Cain didn’t want to take time to give back to the Lord. God didn’t like Cain’s offering. Cain just wanted to complain and throw a fit. I wonder what is going to happen to Cain.
