Latest Crime Figures (3 months to 30th April) Although local crime levels are relavely low, Bingham, Radcliffe and surrounding villages have experienced a noceable increase in car theſt. This includes a number of house burglaries where car keys have been targeted and premium vehicles stolen from driveways. One of the key messages from the police is to protect your car keys. If keys are in sight, or near doors or windows, it only takes minutes to grab these and drive off. Theſts from vehicles, including cash and tools from vans, is also a concern. Four vans were broken into overnight in Bingham and a Ford Transit has been stolen. Owners should be extra vigilant to ensure they are not targeted and lose valuable tools and equipment. The peak mes for these theſts is overnight. If tools cannot be removed overnight then common- sense security precauons should be taken such as parking close to a building or hedge to restrict access and fing good quality locks and alarm. Our annual Orston/Aslockton pub walk will take place on the

longest day of the year

Friday 21st June

Starting from the seat in front of Orston Church,7.00pm.

We walk along the Smite to Aslockton, stop at the Cranmer

Arms for a drink, then follow footpaths to Whatton and back to

Orston. Finish at the Durham Ox in Orston with drinks and sandwiches.

This is a sociable walk of about 5.5 miles taken at a leisurely pace and

everyone is most welcome.
