Welcome
Barcelona Oculoplastics: Trends in Eyelid Surgery is a course aimed to oculoplastic surgeons and ophthalmologists with a special interest in oculoplastic. We will be reviewing and updating all the concepts and issues that should be taken into consideration when dealing with patients who require surgery for blepharopto-sis, retraction or blepharoplasty.
It will be a dynamic and practical course. One morning will be set aside for par-ticipants to view live surgical interventions to correct various disorders (ptosis, dermatochalasis, retraction) performed by eminent guest surgeons. There will also be a theoretical and practical periocular injections workshop (botulinum toxin and different fillers), showing the latest techniques and procedures that can be applied.
We will cover some theoretical concepts in all areas, ranging from the basics, such as examination and diagnosis, to eyelid problems in special situations (cos-metic, anophthalmos, blepharospasm, etc.) and other issues.
We would greatly appreciate your attendance and look forward to welcoming you to the IMO’s new headquarters. We trust that your visit to Barcelona will be enjoyable and productive.
