** FLU REMINDER **

Due to the serious nature of this year’s flu season, please

help us keep our children and teachers healthy and well.

It is imperative that if your child has an elevated temperature or

vomiting after 6:00pm the evening before school, your child

should NOT be sent to school. Please call the office and/or email

your teachers with a specific message about WHY your child is

out (before 10am, please).

In addition, if your child has stayed home due to flu-like illness

for two or more days you need to bring in a doctor’s note

indicating that your child has been cleared to return to school.

Many children say they feel

better because they do not want to miss school.

However, this must be a firm parental decision.

Do you have a child who is turning five in 2020?

The NYC DOE Kindergarten Application is now available!

The deadline to fill out the application is January 21, 2020.

Visit Kindergarten Admissions for information.

Summer Art Bunch is back for 2020!

Summer Art Bunch is taught by PCDS teachers Christine Barber and Margie Keenan.

Our program is tailored for children aged 2.5 through 5 years old. The children study a new artist each

week and discover their creativity through a range of visual and performing arts. This summer a few of

the artists we plan to feature include: Monet & the Impressionists, the whimsical sculpture of Calder,

conceptual pop art by Yayoi Kusama and the various styles of Picasso.

Your child will work on diverse projects that reflect core themes in art, drama, music, movement and

critical thinking. We encourage the children to be creative, inventive and hands-on with each project.

The program runs for eight weeks from June 8th to July 31st, from 9am to noon.

Please visit our website for details and registration www.summerartbunchnyc.com or

email us at [email protected] for more information.
