Are you ready for an adventure? Cruise Week is September 21-25! There will be live and televised events. Seating at live events will be limited and free tickets will be available in the Activities Center , September 15-17 from 9am - noon. Pick up a Cruise Week booklet with all of the details. Items on the calendar, next page, with an * denote that a ticket is required for entrance. Thriſt Shop Sale The Thriſt Shop will be open on Tuesday and Thursday , September 22 & 24, from 9am-3pm, during Cruise Week. Come shope the sale. Every item is only a $1. No trying on clothes and all sales are final. Donations are now being accepted. There are collection boxes in front of the Thriſt Shop or if you need a pick up, please call Carol at 720.308.8891 or the Thriſt Shop at 623.847.3131. Upholstered furniture is not accepted. Glencroſt University Fall Catalog Glencroſt University Fall Lectures begin on Wednesday, September 16 th . Classes are limited to 10 people in the University Room, but lectures will be aired live on GTV4. Sign up by calling 623.930.5697 or by visiting the Performance Center. Lectures are listed on the inside calendar. CareToU CareToU, offering skin cancer screening and non-surgical treatment, will be parked in front of the Community Support Center, Monday September 21 st - Wednesday the 23 rd . They will be seeing residents from 9am-3pm. Appointments are recommended but not mandatory. To schedule an appointment, call 602.639.0189. The next Glencroſt Food Bank will be on Wednesday, September 23 th from 8-9:30am in the Auditorium. Please do not line up before 7:45am. The Food Bank is open the 2 nd and 4 th Wednesdays, monthly. Wednesday Night Movie “Grumpy Old Men” will be playing on Wednesday, September 16 th and on September 23 rd the 1960’s classic “The Last Voyage” will be shown. Movies starts at 6pm and seating is limited to 50 people. There will be free popcorn and soſt drinks. Friday Night Entertainment Friday entertainment has returned at 6pm in the Auditorium. (50 person limit) This Friday , September 18 th , will feature musician Bobby Hamilton. Next Friday, September 25 th tune into GTV4 for Big Time Bingo Blowout at 6pm. Pick up a form from the Community Support Center and schedule an appointment for the Flu Shot Clinic that will be at Glencroft on Thursday, October 1 st from 8:30am-12:30pm. You must have an appointment. Fitness Classes The Fit N Fab exercise class is now available live, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9am in the Movement Center , in addition to being on GTV4 at 8:45am and 1pm the same days. On Wednesdays you can aend a ZoeFlow fitness class at 10:15am in the Movement Center , or watch it on GTV4 on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 8:45am. Class sizes are limited to 15 and you need to go to the Performance Center prior to class to check in. Women’s Bible Study Sign up now to aend a Fall Women’s Bible Study that will begin, Thursday, October 1 st at 9:30am in the University Room. The Bible Study will be “A Woman Jesus Can Teach” by Alice Mathews and will meet through November 19 th . Books are available in the Community of Faith office - $8.50 each. GCA NoticeThe September 15th GCA Community Meeting’s agenda will include a review of proposed amendments to the current GCA Bylaws. (3:30pm in the Auditorium and on GTV4) Prior to the meeting, Resident Representatives will be handing out copies of the proposed amendments. A ballot and instructions will be included.The final vote on the proposed amendments will occur at the October 6th GCA Community meeting.Residents that cannot, or choose not to, attend the October 6th meeting in the Auditorium can use the ballot to vote.Copies of the current Bylaws are available at the Concierge’s desk in the Villa.
