A Mother’s Day Gospel Concert will be held on Sunday, May 12 at 5 p.m. at the Goldsboro-Raleigh As-sembly, 211 W. Hooks River Rd, with Apostle Norbert Simmons and the Gospel-aires of Goldsboro, Laman-uel Boykin and Company of Wilmington, Twilight Gos-pel Singers of Goldsboro, Kingdom Builders of Golds-boro, and George Dicken.
This program, “Songs of a Mother’s Heart,” is sponsored by The Kingdom Builders of Goldsboro, and the lady who wears and models the most unique hat will win a $100 cash prize. Doors open at 4 p.m. Tick-ets are $10 in advance for adults and $12 at the door. Children ages 7-12 are $7

A Women’s Day celebra-tion will be held at Payne’s Temple AMEZ Church, on Center St. in Mount Olive on Sunday, May 19 at 11 a.m. with guest preacher Evangelist Dorothy McDan-iel and Presider, Evangelist Vera Sutton. The theme is “Emplowering Women Through the Word”. Pastor Sylvester Smith invites all to come and help them cel-ebrate. The colors are pink and white.
A Women’s Day celebra-tion will be held at Mt. Gil-ead M.B. Church in Mount Olive on Sunday, May 12 at 11 a.m. with special guest Pastor Josephine Newkirk. Mother Deloris Robinson and the women of Mt. Gil-ead, along with Pastor Rev.

St. Luke Church of Christ, 636 Waller Rd., will celebrate its annual Wom-en’s Day Celebration on Sunday, May 5 at 11 a.m. with the Word delivered by Elder Velma McKinley and music by the St. Luke Gospel Choir. Please come in your colors of pink and white and help the women to celebrate.
Women’s Day will be held at St. Luke Church of Christ on Elm St. in Goldsboro on Sunday, May 12 with spe-cial guest Elder Margaret Kornegay. The Pastor, Elder David Williams, invites you to join them as they show love to their women of God.
Revival services will be held at New Life Worship Center in Mount Olive on April 25 and 26 at 7:30 p.m. nightly with revivalist preacher Pastor Regina Lu-cious and the New Life Out-reach Ministry Church fam-ily of Clinton. Music will be rendered by the Walking by Faith Praise Team of Goldsboro on Thursday and by the New Life Outreach Choir of Clinton on Friday. We invite you to come and be blessed by this awesome woman of God.

On Sunday, April 28, at 3 p.m., there will be a head-stone and marker place-
ment/dedication ceremony for 2nd Lieutenant Uriah Herring, who served with
the 26th Regiment (Duplin County) 7th Brigade (Mili-tia) Confederate States of America in the Civil War (1861-1865).
He is buried in the Uriah Herring Cemetery, Albert-son, where his grave has been unmarked since 1888.
The service will be con-ducted by Confederate States Armory-Kenansville-Camp 2157, Sons of Confed-erate Veterans. The camp commander is Carlyle Her-ring, a great grandson of Uriah.
In the 1860s, the actual Confederate States Armory in Kenansville was the sec-ond largest armory, after Richmond, of the Confed-erate States of America. The armory manufactured swords and various other weapons.
The cemetery is locat-ed on Kator Dunn Road, at the end of the road, 1.2 miles from intersection of Tram Road near Woodland Church Road in Duplin County.) All descendants of Uriah Herring and others are invited to this special ceremony.
The ceremony will fol-low the 74th Annual Ben Herring Family Reunion luncheon celebrated at Woodland United Method-ist Church Fellowship Hall 2695 Tram Road Albertson, NC 28508.
Ben was the youngest son of Uriah Herring.
ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION - St. Luke Church of Christ, located at 636 Waller Road, will host the 10th anniversary celebration for Women on the Move on May 19 at 4 p.m. Special guests for the event will include Lamanuel Boykin and Company, the First Baptist Male Chorus of Roseboro, New Direction of Dudley, Kingdom Builders of Goldsboro, and soloist Bro.
