From intimate to extravagant, traditional or something more unexpected, the St James team are on hand to create an unforgettable city centre wedding that it uniquely yours.
The St James Hotel is an independently-owned 87 bedroom boutique hotel located in the heart of Nottingham city centre; opposite the entrance of Nottingham Castle and only minutes away from the Old Market Square. The hotel also benefits from a large multi-storey car park (NCP) located next door.

YOUR WEDDING CEREMONY
THE QUEEN HENRIETTA ROOMTimelessly decorated in light blues and with fabulous crystal chandeliers, the Queen Henrietta Room is the perfect civil ceremony venue for up to 50 guests.
THE GREAT ROOM The Great Room is luxuriously decorated in black and gold with champagne coloured crystal chandeliers. The Great Room can host up to 120 guests for a civil ceremony.
THE OAK ROOM With a solid oak floor and lots of natural light from the sweep of sash windows overlooking Nottingham Castle, The Oak Room is an elegant space to host up to 130 guests for a civil ceremony.
KING CHARLES ROOM Located near the site where King Charles I raised his standard to begin the English Civil War in 1642, the King Charles Room is decorated in regal maroon providing a warm atmosphere for up to 50 guests for a civil ceremony.
THE LEFT GALLERY The Left Gallery is a contemporary space adorned with unique artwork and naturally illuminated by the frosted glass ceiling making the space one of the most unique wedding venues around. The Left Gallery can host up to 35 guests for a civil ceremony.
The St James has two luxurious rooms that are ideal for hosting your wedding reception. Both rooms are air conditioned and self-contained (with their own bar and toilets).
YOUR WEDDING RECEPTION
THE GREAT ROOMThe Great Room has been decorated in sumptuous black and gold. The room’s sweep of sash windows have been dressed in full length curtains. The period nature of the building has been respected in the design with eight Champagne coloured chandeliers adorning the high moulded ceilings. This room can also be divided in half to create two smaller rooms.
THE OAK ROOM The Oak Room has a similar capacity to The Great Room but the design is very different. The room boasts dramatic views over Nottingham Castle. It has a solid oak floor, ivory textured wall coverings and dramatic full length curtains; finished with an autumn cream dupion ruffled pelmet. The room is wonderfully romantic and is arguably the most perfect place for a wedding in Nottingham.
