Mission & Core Values The Mission of the Marketing Club is to apply marketing principles through the execution of a core club project(s) for Weber State University and the community, the facilitation of monthly marketing workshops for WSU students, and social networking events for club members. The Core Values of the Marketing Club include: -WSU Student Focused -Community Minded -Respect -Teamwork -Accountability -Social/Fun
  5. 5. Spring Recruitment Over 20 class & club presentations working with 7 different professors 25 students recruited, 17 remained active throughout the semester. Recruitment flyer and posters created during 2nd week of the semester.
  6. 6. Love Utah Give Utah The Marketing Club sponsored three non-profit organizations this semester during the Love Utah Give Utah crowd funding campaign on March 26th 2015. The non-profits were: 1. Your Community Connection, Women & Children Abuse Crisis Center 2. Ogden Goal Foundation, Outdoor Rec Event Organization 3. Image Reborn, Breast Cancer Awareness Organization 4-5 club members supported each team. The teams individually met with the organizations, assisted in planning out their LUGU action timeline, and took on small projects leading up the 26th of March. Collectively, the three projects raised over $3,000 for the sponsored organizations.
  7. 7. Your Community Connection (YCC) Project Team Members: Mitch McBride, AJ Franks, Sydnee Johnson, Sara Ascencio, and Tei Kim.

YCC Project Accomplishments Created a LUGU Marketing Action Timeline with Director & Events Coordinator Presented to the YCC Board of Trustees about how to support LUGU Presented to the YCC Staff about how to support LUGU Created a LUGU flyer to be distributed to community Created 2 videos for the YCC LUGU landing page Assisted the organization in setting up LUGU landing page Made over 50 calls to top donors to encourage LUGU participation on March 25th Raised $2,000 additional dollars for the YCC compared to the year prior.
  9. 9. Ogden Goal Foundation Project Team Members: Allen Emlet, Ferrin Jenkins, Monica Jenkins, and Skyler McNeil Goals Love Utah Give Utah Needs 1. The Young Runners Program 2. Previous Love Give for GOAL 2. Research GOAL's social media usage What we did for GOAL 1. Social media planning for the Love Give campaign 2. Advice on layout of Love Give site 3. Ideas for campaign introduction and thank you videos What we learned 1. Using children in campaigns requires consent from parents 2. Communication with larger organizations can be difficult with time bound projects 3. Delegation of sub projects is key to success

Image Reborn Foundation Project Team Members: Brandon Saxton, Brendan Knell, Kaden Howell, Brooke Medina, Hannah Schafer Jodi Holmgren is Program Coordinator of Image Reborn Foundation Assisted Jodi with a time schedule Passed out fliers about the campaign Hosted an Event at the Smiths on Harrison Raised $750 through the event and a matching donation from Smiths Foods & Drug
  11. 11. Spring Semester Workshops LinkedIn Workshop- January 28rd, 12:00pm, SU Computer Lab On January 28th, 2015 we held our first workshop on enhancing your LinkedIn account. We had 17 people attend the workshop. Shawnee Stump, who has previously led LinkedIn training seminars and is a LinkedIn expert, helped students modify their LinkedIn accounts to support their career interests and networking goals. The workshop was videoed for club records. YouTube Workshop- April 17th, 12:00pm, SU Computer Lab On April 17th, 2015, Allen Emlet facilitated a workshop on YouTube for small businesses. This hands on YouTube workshop covered how to run a channel, make money using YouTube, and small business applications. Spring Semester Club Socials Costa Vida Social- April 27th, 2015, 6:00pm On the Friday, the 27th of April our Marketing Club came to celebrate our success with the Love Utah Give Utah project, network with other club members, and discuss our club project(s) over the summer. Dinner was provided. People brought friends and invited people interested in the club. Ten club members and friends were in attendance. Lucky Slice Pizza Social- January 30th, 2015, 6:00pm On Friday, the 30th of January at Weber State Downtown Center, we kicked off the semester introducing the Love Utah Give Utah project and meeting new club members. Lucky Slice Pizza donated the food to the Marketing Club and Brixtons Baked Potato coupons were raffled off as door prizes. Over ten club members were in attendance.
  13. 13. Clubs & Orgs. Carnival On Wednesday April 8th, the Marketing Club sponsored a table at the Clubs & Orgs. Carnival. The Marketing Club used this opportunity to promote the Weber State Rugby Team. The club helped create and print a flyer to distribute for the Rugby Team. Six Marketing Club members supported the table from 8am-1:00pm.

Fundraising In February 2015, the marketing club advisor and president met with Kabi Catalano, the previous development director of the Goddard School of Business & Economics, and created a fundraising plan for 2015 involving various businesses and donors. The plan had projected goal of over $150,000 in asks to support the Marketing Club scholarship fund. In February 2015, the marketing club applied for and received a $750.00 grant from Clubs & Orgs. for 2015 club event costs. As of May 4, 2015, the Marketing Clubs total balance was $995.00. If received, future funds would be used to provide scholarships for active members & officers in the marketing club for the 2015 fall semester. Scholarships would be awarded based on performance and with club advisor approval.
  15. 15. Summer Projects & Next Steps Summer Marketing Club Projects 1. Weber State Wildcat Store Project 2. Becoming an official AMA Collegiate Chapter By beginning of the fall semester, the Marketing club will officially be a chapter of the American Marketing Association. This will require a official advisor approval, petition signed by 20 individuals, and ten registered students in the AMA, requiring a $47.00 fee from each. The long term vision of the Marketing Club is to be able to provide scholarships to active club participants and leaders, with the hope of attracting talent and commitment.
