Newsletter 3 rd November 2017 Dear Parents and Carers, Unbelievably we are half way through the Autumn term! Our children have already experienced a wide variety of exciting learning experiences and we look forward to many more in the run up to Christmas. Thank you once again for your continued support- our strong partnerships with you as parents, carers and grandparents are a real credit to the school. Mrs Sehné and Mrs Johnson Whole School Farmers’ Market Our farmers’ market on Friday 20 th October was a great success! As well as earning the considerable sum of over £1300, the children experienced valuable life skills such as making produce, interacting with customers and handling money. Thank you for all of your support; particularly our stall holders and contributors to produce and prizes. One World Week Our Year 3 class and choir did us proud at the recent One Word Week celebrations at Alsager High School! Thanks you for all of your support at this ‘fabulous finish’ to our creative curriculum month. Book Fair Our autumn term book fair raised a total of £830.13! Thank you for all of your purchases- we will be using the money to add to the school’s reading tree libraries so look out for some new books on them soon! Glow Disco Our Glow Disco was another resounding success, raising over £ for the Friends and Family of Pikemere School (FFoPS). A big thank you to Mr Scott who hosted another fun evening of dancing and games, as well as Mrs Harp who

.Admissions to School 2018If your child was born between 01/09/13 and 31/08/14 and is due to start school in September 2018, please remember to apply before 15th January 2018. Please pass this information onto anyone you know who might be affected.

Young Voices 2018The Choir will be performing at the Annual Young Voices Concert on WEDNESDAY 24th January 2018. A copy of the letter is available on the web site and children should have brought their Ticket order forms home on Tuesday night. Please ensure these are returned no later than 20th October 2017.

EYFS and Key Stage OneCoats and PE KitsAs the weather has now turned considerably colder, please ensure that your child has a coat in school every day, as well as jogging bottoms in their PE kits for any lessons outdoors.

Lost PropertyWe have already accumulated a considerable amount of unnamed items of clothing in our lost property box (by the outdoor exit to the Key Stage One corridor). Please check that all of your child’s clothing is named (particularly PE kits and trousers). We will always return any found, named items, but struggle to do so otherwise.

Key Stage TwoClass AssembliesYear 6 will have done theirs. Tea/coffee, turning up arrangements
