For Word The report is prepared in the context of analyzing its own product and a Davit. The purpose of the analysis report is to show that the student has met the stated learning objectives and competences. For own product I have a hair dryer. The choice I made because a hair dryer a widely used product with many important aspects which can be analysed. Among other things I will delve into the air and heat flow and the safety of the hair dryer. Analyze the report is preparing the final realisation of the Davit that we will do in school week 9 to 17. Analyzing the hair dryer is a tool to analyze practice on a small scale. The report has been created thanks to the book ' report on report ' by the book ' Highland and design of technical innovations '. I would also like to thank my fellow students thanked for the suggestions and cooperation. Delft, October 2015

Summary This report analyzes the needs to the products, but also the technical aspects of a hair dryer and a Davit. The technical aspects include the connections, transmissions and formats. The goal is to own a Davit. The chapters in this report in the following aspects:

-          The needs and problems that come with the products come look.-          The functions are handled and the product is examined.-          The products are very technical and therefore analysed the material properties,

connections and production techniques.-          In the last chapter, the package of demands and wishes.

 The conclusion is that the hair dryer solves the problems of the target group. The hair dryer solves that by meeting the requirements and if possible the wishes. The Davit solves the problem of a sports owner who does not want to lift the water independently in zijn/haar lifeboat. Through the package of requirements drawn up solves the problem.

Glossary A davit Davit is a hoist with which a lifeboat of a ship or yacht can be hoisted in the water. Exploded view a technical drawing in which a part is signed as if it is exploding. A mechanical device that works with moving parts. At a closed shape closed shape construction has only the shape made sure that the components

are connected. This makes the material closed material ensure that the parts are linked with one another. Force closed there is much force on the component which means that there is no connection is

required (e.g. a table). STAINLESS STEEL This abbreviation stands for stainless steel, also known as stainless

steel.

Introduction The first part of the report deals with the importance of the hair dryer and that peoplewith long hair who have just showered can dry their hair in minutes. The hair dryer will fix this problem and make sure that people with (often long) wet hair no longer need long to dry off or wait until it is dry. The second part of the report concerns the importance when the yacht owners is that they the dinghy from their hunt lay in the water without much physical strength.The Davit will fix this problem by means of a hoist and will also minimize visible on the boat. The report deals with the Davit how the boat in and out of the water can be hoisted and the use for the yacht owner is as simple as possible.

1.1 hair dryer Problem statement Analysis The product is a hair dryer which is often used by people with long hair (see fig. 1.11).The hair dryer consists of four main components that are made of plastic, copper and metal:

-          enclosure-          flow divider-          fan-          heating

-          The conditions are that the product dries the hair and secure, compact, reliable and beautiful.

 The design problem:

-          Concept: hair drying-          Market: for people with long hair it is very convenient, suitable for almost all

women. There is a lot of competition.-          Technology: by means of a fan.-          Marketing: advertising through to demonstrate in public places. Advertise on tv and

the product offering in directories of shops. The product is shown by women with long hair as this is the biggest audience is.

-          Need for company: the company wants to deliver beautiful, good stuff that the customer would like to and that they can make a lot of profit.

-          Consequences organization: there is a lot of staff to make the product and the product is promoted and sold in the current shops and hardware stores.

-          Environment: safe working place with a good working atmosphere-          Process trees: promoten/demonstreren in public places.

1.3 hair dryer Connections and transmissions Transmissions 

1. The plug in the wall securely over the flow of brings home to the cable of the hair dryer (electric)

2. The cable brings the secure flow of the plug to the heating element. (electric).3. The switches bring the muscle power of the hand of the customer to an electrical signal

to the electric motor.4. The electrical current to motor mount in a rotating force.5. Heat generator converts electric energy into heat energy.

 Connections                                      

1. Housing (material closed), this has been confirmed by means of a screw connection. The form of the housing ensures that, among other things, the fan and the heat generator form closed in the enclosure.

2. Cables (material closed), the shape of the copper cable can not get out. At the end of the cable is the cable clamped (also closed).

3. Switches (form closed, the switch is clicked together through a click connection (see fig. 1.31).

4. Electric motor (closed form), because the electric motor in the solid form is cast and this material is closed with bolts is the electric motor well stuck in each other.

5. Heat generator (closed form), by the enclosure is closed and the heat generator form also has a screw connection to confirm this even better in the enclosure.

6. Fan (closed form), the fan is closed by a screw connection and that stuck clasped in the enclosure.

 Plastic: cheap, sturdy and beautiful. A key equipment at the hair dryer. Plastic led too little

heat making the hair dryer is not too hot.Buyer: Good conductive and relatively inexpensive. For the cable of a hair dryer is the most

appropriate copper wire to flow to transport.Rubber: flexible, protective. The rubber ensures that the customer does not come in contact

with the power cables.Aluminum: very sturdy. Ensures the stability of the frame in the hair dryer.Iron wire: heat conductive. By that the iron wire is heated the air flow is hot when it comes

out of the hair dryer.

1.5 hair dryer Production techniques Plug: The plastic is pressed into a mold to the shape of the plug.Cable: The copper wire by the liquid warm rubber back. If it is dried up is the rubber hard yet

flexible.Housing: The plastic is pressed into a mold to the shape of the plug.Switches: The plastic is pressed in multiple molds to the shape of the parts and eventually

clicked together by robots.Frame for fan and heat generator:

There are two cardboard pictures clicked together and later pressed together the frame forms.

1.6 hair dryer Set of requirements 

-          Speed. It has to be within 3 minutes are dried-          Safe, the person is not under power.-          Reliable, the hair dryer should function at 36 months weekly use (lifetime) without

going bust.-          Solid and compact housing, should not fall piece in a fall from one meter high.-          Modern and sleek design-          Easy operation, the hairdryer must be without information booklet to understand.-          Price up to 20 euro-          Quality (see speed and lifetime)-          Solid switches. The switches must be at least 36 months function without going bust.-          Weight. The hair dryer can be up to 700 grams roads.

2.1 Davit Problem statement Analysis The product is a Davit (see fig. 2.11). A mobile crane that is used on a yacht to a dinghy or Jet Ski from hunting in the water.It is used by yacht owners. The number of components depends on the type of Davit. Largely exists a Davit from metal. The production cost of a Davit are very high because the product is custom made. In addition, the product of themselves even though very expensive.

2.3 Davit Connections and transmissions Transmissions 

1. Button. The physical energy of the person it serves is converted into an electrical signal because the button is pressed. The electrical signal goes to the electric motor.

2. Electric motor, the electric motor converts electrical energy to a circular motion.3. Scharnieren/assen (mechanical). The hinges ensure that the Davit the forces over can

put in a horizontal movement.4. Pulley for cable (mechanical). The pulley ensures that the cable can sue its way with the

minimum of resistance. The mechanical force is converted to mechanical power in a different direction.

5. Cables (pull). The cables put a the rotating power of the electric motor to linear in a pulling force.

 Connections 

1. Steel construction (material closed). The frame is a very firm connection of steel frame pieces that have been confirmed by a jointed to each other.

2. Ground fixing (closed form). Because the floor plate with bolts (and nuts) is confirmed in the floor of the boat cannot move relative to the boat.

3. Carbine (closed form). The carbine confirmed the cable to the boat by means of a steel ring that is strong enough to show the power of the boat. The carbine is loose to get through the click system so that the boat can sail away without the carbine still stuck.

4. Electric motor (closed form). Because the electric motor in the solid form is cast and this material is closed with bolts is the electric motor well stuck in each other.

5. Cable (power closed). The shape of the copper cable can not get out. At the end of the cable is the cable clamped (also closed).

2.5 Davit Production techniques Controller The plastic is pressed in the form of the controller.Cables copper is in liquid rubber, and dried.In a die cast aluminum pulleys becomes liquid under a temperature of around 1450 degrees.Lifting construction the steel is rolled by rollers in the form of the desired profile. To make it

2.6 Davit Set of requirements Set of requirements 

-          The boat has to be within five minutes in the water and usable-          The Davit from outside the boat does not show-          Easy operation, the customer must within 30 minutes, understand how the system can

be operated-          Dangerous parts must be shielded (Safety)-          The Davit should be installed within seven days-          Weight, up to 10% of the weight of the hunt

 Production The production varies with the type of Davits Davits. At unique yachts the Davit be custom made and there will be no mass production possible. At universal boten/jachten is mass production possible.

3 Conclusion This report was about two products with a problem for which we have devised a solution for in the form of a product. Hair dryer The aim of this project was to provide a solution in the form of a product to think for a problem where people want to have their hair dried quickly with wet hair.The set of requirements is largely a conclusion of the hair dryer. It contains the requirements that the hair dryer a functioning product.The most important requirements:

-          Within 2 minutes dry hair-          Up to 20 euro-          Easy to operate

As one of the requirements is not met will be the final product are not suitable and not successful. Davit   The problem is with the Davit is that yacht owners their dinghy in the water like to get through a system without (many) have to use physical force.The set of requirements is largely a conclusion that the Davit to a perfect working product.The most important requirements:

-          It must be the boat in the water move within 5 minutes-          Weight, up to 10% of the weight of the hunt-          The Davit should (almost) does not show from outside the hunting

The above requirements of the Davit Davit will make a perfectly functioning product.
