Zonta Club of the Santa Clarita Valley invites your organization to participate in our 35th Annual Women in Service Celebration. The event will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at The Oaks. This program encourages organizations in our community to recognize women throughout the valley who through their leadership, have made a difference.

By submitting the name of your nominee, you will be nominating her for our “Carmen Sarro Community Service” award. The award recognizes and celebrates the life of our dear member, Carmen Sarro, who had such a positive impact on the people and organizations in the Santa Clarita Valley. We hope you will allow us to recognize one of your members, acknowledge her contributions and spotlight your organization’s goals and vital service to our community. It is permissible to nominate a Zontian as your organization’s honoree; however, nominees who are members of Zonta are not eligible to receive the Carmen Sarro award.

We continue to offer the opportunity for organizations to re-nominate an individual who they feel deserves to be recognized and reconsidered for our “Carmen Sarro” award. Should your organization be one of the several in our community who rely on the young women in this community to volunteer, please feel free to nominate one of them. Please keep your nominations to those over 16 years of age.

The nomination form is available online. You can e-mail it to me at Womeninservice@scvzonta.org. Please complete it with approval from your organization, if appropriate, and return it by December 6, 2018. Instructions are included in the online form. Please visit www.scvzonta.org and select “Events” and then “Women in Service” to get the form. For your convenience, I have included a hard copy of the Nomination Form that can also be used. When completing this form, please be sure to include as much detail as necessary to showcase your honorees contributions. If needed, feel free to attach a second sheet.
