We come together to ask for God’s help.We come together to hear God’s story.
We come together to celebrate God’s love. God is here, God is with us.
Amen.

Fold the piece of paper in half lengthways. On one half of the paper, cut strips 1 cm wide to the middle line.Roll the uncut half of the paper into a tube and secure with sellotape.Carefully unfold the strips to create a palm branch (see photo).
You might like to wave your palm branch and sing to the tune of ‘What shall we do with the drunken sailor?’

A challenge for the grownups: Make a palm CrossInstruction sheet attached.
Creative prayer activity: Make a prayer tree.
If you have a garden, maybe there are some twigs or sticks you could use. Put them in a jar, or a pot or vase.
Cut some leaf shapes out of card or paper. Make a loop with some string or wool. Think about all the things that you would like to give thanks to God for, write them on the leaves and put them on the tree.
You can add more leaves to the tree during the weeks ahead.
Prayer with actions;Make me a tree, Lord
Strong, deep rooted, useful (stand tall with feet apart)
Support to those in need(spread arms wide)
Shelter for those who are weary(arms as if you are giving someone a hug)
Fruit for those who hunger(shake your arms as if you are letting fruit fall)
Make me a tree, LordStrong, deep-rooted, useful
(stretch your arms up)Amen
