Monarchy A type of government in which a king or queen rules
Dictatorship/Totalitarian A type of government in which one person has absolute power
Democracy A type of government in which the people have a say
Republic A type of government in which people elect their leaders to represent them
Oligarchy A type of government in which a few people rule
Social Hierarchy A system in which people are divided by social class (usually a few people have a lot of wealth and power and the majority of the population has little)
