If I Were

Read the comprehension and answer each question in full sentences. Write it out in your jotter. Remember to present your work neatly.    (Answers are attached at the bottom)

Task 1   - OLI. Is to continue a poem.   Think of another creature to add a new verse to the poem – ‘If I were a ________.’.

To do this successfully, you need to write 4 lines, on line 2 & 4 the last words are ‘day’ and ‘way’. Consider the syllables for each line too. For extra, add more verses to the poem.

Task 2. OLI. Is to identify verbs.   The poet uses verbs to describe the actions of each creature. Can you identify the words?
