3 rd Class English Learning Support
Hi everyone,
I hope you are all well and completed last week’s work. Did you enjoy the quiz? No doubt you are all computer whizzes at this stage!! I am missing everyone and looking forward to seeing you all again. Try to get outside for a few hours every day and have a run around. I hope you are helping out around the house too. At the minute Josh and Róisín aren’t helping me, although Josh likes to help me wash the dishes……you can imagine the ‘help’ a two year old gives with that job!!!!
Stay Safe,
Mrs. Hurson
Comprehension Support and Vocabulary – ‘The End of the Dinosaurs’
Like Ms Donnelly used to do with you at school I am going to go through the tricky words in your comprehension reading that Mr Hayden has assigned for you this week. This week’s comprehension is a fictional piece of writing about a dinosaur family. Mumosauras and Dadlodocus try to keep their baby egg safe. Read the story to see do they manage to do this. Read the text slowly and enjoy it!
Read over this vocabulary before reading the story in your book. I have explained all the words that are in red and some other words that you might not be familiar with in the story.

3 rd Class Friday Corrections 22 nd May
Well done on all your efforts this week boys and girls!
You can correct your SNIP Session 6 work with the answers on the next three pages.
These words are great to know how to spell as you may use them a lot in your written work. Whatever words you misspelt in your ‘test of mastery’ / Friday Test rewrite them a few times until you feel you can confidently spell the word. It’s a good idea to keep all your spelling work together and next week to check over the words from this week and see can you spell them all.
Enjoy your weekend,
Mrs. Hurson
