Summative Evaluation Unit 7

What I had to do was make a moving animation with my diorama and put it on YouTube. The way I started was I used my equipment and that was a camera, tripod, table, and backdrop, snoot, light reader. I had to start with a light reader and measure the light in the studio.

When I did that I had my camera be set to F/13 and my ISO 100 and had it on manual when that was sorted I had one of my class members to help out and hold the camera when I had to move the boat on the river I made but only bit by bit to have the illusion of it having to move it. My class member had to take the picture so I used a snoot half way of the shoot with a filter that was orange to have a storm scene with in my animation and then a bit later add in the paper cut outs of thunder storms and that was about it for shooting in the studio so when came back to class I had to edit my pictures that I have taken and Photoshop them.

I had some problems editing at first with not getting Jason’s legs put into the paper boat so I had help from teachers. And they told me that I could use the lasso tool to cut out the background of where is leg’s would be on the boat and overlay it on there when I have put him back on the spot he should be standing on. When they told me that it was already getting late so I had to do it the next day but when I knew what to do and edit all of my pictures it was very tedious to do for a while but when I got to the point of finishing it took several days to complete.

Overall I have learned that animating is very long to do so if you were an animator you would be animating for half a year to finish on one scene. I have also added in sound effects and music to my animation to make it have some atmosphere to it if I had more time though I would add in subtitles.
