RECEPTION READ TO ME BOOKS

Your child will be bringing home a READ TO ME book today in their new Marlborough book bag.

This is a book for you to read to your child to help them experience books and understand how stories are structured.

Here are some ideas to help you and your child to get the most out of the READ TO ME book.

Talk about the characters. Which one is your child’s favourite and why? Talk about where the story is set. Have you been to a place like this? What might happen at the end of the story? Can you think of an alternative ending? What is your child’s favourite part of the book and why?

Children will change their books on a Monday and Friday of each week.
