High Level Christian Academy “Under His Wings” “He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” Psalm 91:4 MAY 2019 NEWSLETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL Hello HLCA families! Welcome to May! What a month April has been! Our Spring Banquet production was a wonderful time of encouragement and challenge to stand firm in our faith and not compromise even when it seems easier. I was extremely blessed by the hard work and energy our staff and students put into Danny and the Shacks; work on the play begins much earlier than when we start rehearsals. The students did an excellent job! I don’t know about you but things feel a little lighter, more hopeful, and for the first time in a while, we can breathe a little sigh of relief. We have been praying for April 16 th and a new government for a long time. Now that we have it, we need to continue to pray and lift up our leaders to God in prayer (Eph. 6:18, Col. 4:2). We must stay vigilant and train our minds to be prepared for the enemy’s plans. We cannot lose sight of the fact that our culture has been blinded by the lies of Satan and his goal is to take as many souls as he can with him to his doom. Christ has already won the victory, but Satan still wages a war of attrition on the souls of mankind (Eph. 6:10-17). These last four years have confirmed just how far away from Biblical foundations and traditions Canada has come; we need to pray for our nation and our governing leaders that their hearts and minds would be set free from Satan’s lies. We have so much happening in May. We have Career Day on May 14 th , Track and Field on May 24 th , Jump Rope 4 Heart on May 30 th , our Grade 6&9s write the ELA part A PAT, and more! MAY 2019 NEWSLETTERFROM THE PRINCIPAL

Hello HLCA families!

We have been praying for April 16th and a new government for a long time.

We have Career Day on May 14th, Track and Field on May 24th, Jump Rope 4 Heart on May 30th, our Grade 6&9s write the ELA part A PAT, and more! We are also beginning to prepare for the end of the school year; please encourage your students to continue to work hard and glorify God in their learning. We are also looking ahead to our next school year and will once again be in need of staff; please be in prayer for this need in our school. God always has a plan and purpose and while it is hard to understand or see His plan; His will is perfect and pleasing. Our calling is to be transformed through the renewal of our minds. How are we transformed, by not conforming to the patterns of this world, but by offering ourselves to God as living sacrifices in true worship of Him (Romans 12:1-2).

Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!
