o Lab Value Set Companion Guide

Out for TSC e-vote.

Title has to be R1.1. Needs to be fixed.

So far there have been no questions besides the R1.1 title change.

Early adopter program about to be announced. QA webinar scheduled for April 7, 4-5pm.

Eric working on entering some of these value sets into VSAC as pilot for NIST

SDC Update

o Vijay providing an overview of SDC.

o As template change, EHR_S must adopt to new form – as long as that is document based system, should be ok to just understand and rendering, but to the extent when it tries to populate or data extractions from the forms – the EHR-S needs to make adjustments to accommodate changes – SDC based forms will provide mapping etc to make that easier

o Any updates on the resources planned for the Sept 2016 ballot? Connectathon feedback will lead to edits to profile and implementation guide –

some could be substantial (have 12 extensions and 5 of those need to be moved to the core resources of questionnaire and questionnaireResponse – was submitted to PC WG and they approved that list – should be going to review by FMG) – this does not impact the data element resource

What use cases were in the connectathon? Cancer data collection at state level registries (lung cancer path report)

What use cases for the FHIR pilots: Cancer data collection in CA (small vendor collecting pathology reports,

send to CA registry, de-identifies and then forwards to CDC national registry)

Clinical research trial use Harmonization between IHE model and FHIR model – what is the plan as they

are not close enough to implement either and not expect problems? Expected to converge – profile enhancement is focused on

harmonization; IHE side is completing the model updates for form – will share that information with Lloyd on how to incorporate

Will the published documents become a single document or some slightly different focused documents – vision is 1 document – may end up being harmonized versions of 2 documents, since the technology is different and creating conversion tooling to help that (goal would be to have governance on one side form a vendor perspective)

o We plan for a next update once updates have been made and more progress on HL7-IHE convergence/harmonization.

FHIR

access, so changed over to SCT for the example binding Also adding notes about other allowable value sets / code systems

8925 add UDI string HRF formats to Identifier type codes (Eric Haas) Not Persuasive with Mod

Cannot use some of the formats that use XML specific characters, so limit to one format (from harmonization March 2016)

8926 Provide Clearer guidance for UDI components (Eric Haas) Persuasive Added mappings for all the elements to the UDI (from harmonization

March 2016) 9449 add extension to Device for HCT/IP and map to corresponding udi
