5 random facts about me:

1. My American name is Lisa. When my parents enrolled me in nursery school, they thought it was a good idea for me to have an American name so they let a family friend name me. I didn't use the name for long though.

2. I don't know how to ride a bike. When I was 6, I was learning how to ride a bike and ended up rolling down a cement hill. Never got on a two-wheeler again.

3. I'm scared of the dark. I blame it on all the scary/horror movies my brother and I watched together growing up.

4. I was the team captain of the JV Volleyball team during freshman year of high school. Makes me laugh every time I think of those days (we never won a game).

5. I hate clutter and am sort of a neat freak. Sometimes I get so absorbed into cleaning/organizing I end up throwing out a lot of things I don't mean to. When we can't find something around the house, Rich and I assume that I threw it out.

Questions:

How is it being a mom?

I LOVE being a mom. Of course there are days when its SO hard but I wouldn't change it for the world. I am one of those moms that post way too many pics of their kids on FB. Seeing Lia find joy in the simplest things warms my heart and reminds me the importance of living in the moment. It's so crazy how Lia's laughs, hugs, and kisses can make me forget how big of a pain she was 2 seconds ago. I remember how my mom used to say in Korean, "you'll understand when you're a mom" and I totally get it now. Nothing like a mother's love!

What do you like to do for fun?

SHOP! (Rich is probably shaking his head as he is reading this). Ok but really I love spending time with Rich and Lia and going to fun places together. Thanks to Lia, we get to go to all the kiddie places again and I really love it. Brings out the kid in me!

Favorite dishes?

Pizza, Steak, Lobster Rolls, Sushi, and anything dessert related. I love the cakes from Lady M, highly recommend their crepe and checker cake.

What did you do growing up that got you into trouble?

Talking too much. At every parent/teacher conference, all my teachers said that I talked too much... oops.

Favorite Verse:

1 Corinthians 10:13 "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." God has shaped me to become a stronger and more responsible person through some pretty tough experiences that were completely out of my control. Putting all my faith in God during those trying times has helped me to experience his faithfulness and grace.
