Year 5: Home Learning - Week 2 20.04.20 Welcome to your second week of home learning from the Year 5 teachers! Thank you all for continuing to make contact through Class Dojo. We really do want to keep in touch, hear all that you’ve been doing and offer our help if needed. It was lovely to receive so many emails through your Purple Mash accounts too. When making an attachment to the emails, you can now send photos as well as attach a word document, a PowerPoint or a PDF file. A step by step guide of how to attach a photo can be found at the end of this letter. Daily Read for at least 20 minutes daily - independently or with an adult. Remember to make a note of what you are reading/ how much you have read in your Reading Record books. We will be updating the assignment on Spelling Shed every Monday so that you can practise different spellings each week. Project Our new Summer Term project is called ‘What On Earth?’During the coming weeks, we will be following the journey of 3 plastic bottles: one to landfill, one to the ocean and one to a recycling centre, and will be questioning the impact of each on the environment.To start our project work this week, we hope you will become experts at locating continents, countries, and oceans. Using maps, atlases and researching online, how can you find out the following information?Think about how you could present your findings. Maybe as a factfile, a spider diagram or a PowerPoint presentation?

Emailing Photos Using Purple Mash 2Email

3. Add teachers name to field and click on attach picture

4. Click on 2nd icon - clipart

5. Click on choose file

6. You should then get the option to choose a file from your device, if you are using a tablet or phone it will give you the option ‘get photo’ and you can choose from your camera roll
