Weekly Literacy Review Book Dear Parents and Guardians, Each week the children are introduced to a new poem which will come home every Tuesday in this Weekly Literacy Review Book. These poems represent reading as a meaningful language process through literature and songs and will be used as a tool to review and consolidate vocabulary and language skills studied each day. Remember that children who are encouraged by their parents and family will like to read and will learn to read more quickly. Please encourage your child to read these poems to you. If your child has difficulty, read poems together and have your child point to each word while reading. After your child has read the poem, ask him/her to practise writing the Words of the Week, Doozers (extra weekly words), and Word Family Words and the sounds. Suggestions for homework are also included each week. The back of the page can be used to answer the questions asked.
