Compare salt water and fresh water

Saltwater is denser than fresh water because it contains salt. The salt in the water is not the same as the salt you put on your food. It is another kind

of salt. Salt water flows slower than fresh water due to higher viscosity Salt water is denser than fresh water, so objects can float better on it. When it rains the fresh rainwater reduces the salt quality of the salt water When water evaporates from the sea, the salt remains behind.

Rainwater is always fresh water And sea water is always salty. Rivers and dams in the interior land have fresh water.

Sea water is salty Rivers, dams and lakes have fresh water

Fresh water Salt water

Taste no salt Rivers, dams, lakes Lower density Lower viscosity flow faster Freeze slower at 0 ° C Boils at 100 ° C degrees Objects sink easy Fresh water evaporates completely Rain water makes salt water less salt.

Taste salty Ocean/Sea Higher density is heavier Higher viscosity flows slower Freeze faster to ice, at 2 ° C Boils at higher temperatures Objects float easier Salt stays behind when water

evaporates

Hartbeespoort dam

I

It rains freshwater The Ocean Saltwater is heavier

Viscosity

How fast or slow the liquid runs.

Freshwater runs faster than salt water. Uses of Water.Fresh water Salt water
