Anne Holder Kimball Charlotte, NC Hello MAHS Class of ‘68, Well, Debbie was right about the fact that we started High School in the 10 th grade. I remember being disappointed that we had to spend our 9 th grade year still in Junior High! I was very much looking forward to being in high school. My high school years were so long ago that it is hard to remember them but a few things come back to me. I remember trying to convince my science teacher not to give me an “F” in science because I forgot to do some homework assignment. Fortunately, he let me do another assignment and I passed for the semester. Going to the Football games on Friday nights and dating after the games was fun. I remember being in Mr. Holder’s class and taking driving lessons from him. Since he had the same last name as me, I always wondered if we were relatives but was never able to find that out. I remember Mrs. McKinney – she was one of my favorite teachers – so dynamic. Also, singing in a trio at the school talent show was fun. After high school, I went to college, got a degree in music, married and moved to Alaska in that order. My husband, Richard and I lived there for 10 years. I taught piano, worked for the State of Alaska and had many adventures in that wonderful state. I also became interested in accounting while there and took some classes at the Univ. of Alaska. After we returned to North Carolina, I went to

After we returned to North Carolina, I went to Queens College in Charlotte, got a degree in Accounting and eventually became a CPA. I had a satisfying career for over 15 years in that field. When I retired, I went back to my music roots. I am currently a music director, pianist and organist for a church and 5 different choirs (not all church related). I am very busy and happy.I hope that life and work has been interesting and good for my classmates at MAHS. Have a great Reunion!
