Well another powerful Wednesday Special calf sale of top quality calves
with 2080 head on offer. The Char Springs Ranch built the fire under this
top sale. 24 head of their 506 lb. Red Angus cross s/c topped 260.50. Their
452 lb. s/c marked 275.00. Their pen of 483 lb. h/c’s saw 265.00. 24 head
of their 424 lb. h/c saw 276.00. The Australian Ranch today showcased a
powerful group of calves. 45 head of their 645 lb. Simmental Angus cross
s/c raced to 233.75. 22 head of their 568 lb. s/c saw 240.50. 27 head of
their Simm/Angus cross h/c 614 lb. traded to 213.00, their 543 lb. X bred
h/c hit 224.25. Bruce Donaldson and Pam Blain saw their 418 lb. Black
Angus s/c march to 299.50. Howard Briscoe’s heavy 660 lb. Angus cross
s/c powered to 227.00, the big brothers 715 lb. notched 220.50. 153 Mile
Ranch’s 415 lb. Black s/c topped 315.50. The Chilancho Ranch today
showcased 243 head of premium quality calves. A ring full of 52 s/c
notched 327.50. A ring full of their 494 lb. Black & Bwf h/c traded to
260.50. 57 head of their 408 lb. h/c marched to 272.00. The Stirrup Ranch
today showcased one incredible load of calves. 39 head of their 638 lb.
Black & Bwf s/c raced to 231.75, the big boys 679 lb, notched 225.25. Redl
Ranch sold a load of 460 lb. h/c at 281.00, their 338 lb. s/c hit 338.50.
Gang Ranch came to town with a liner load of 440 lb. Black s/c which
topped 325.00, their 390 lb. s/c hit 339.00, and the 440 lb. h/c rolled to
272.50. Peter Vandermerwe of Pr ince George had 443 lb. Black s/c sell
to 318.00, their heavy 549 lb. Angus X s/c notched 244.50. A beautiful pen

VANDERHOOF SALE FRIDAY NOV. 20TH
Diamond X Ranch Ltd. was the highlight of the sale for Audrey and
the Late Walter Read. Its been a pleasure selling these folks top qual-
ity Red Angus cattle over the years. Bred heifers Red Diamond X 571K
Boniter 19B sold for 3100.00 along with Red Diamond X 10Y Bunny 18B
traded for 3200.00. Red Diamond X Benita 16B sold for 4000.00. Red
Diamond X 4U Anna 13A and Red Diamond X 17W Allese 22A sold for
3250.00 each. Red Diamond X 429 M Tara 6T sold for 3200.00.
Audrey’s purebred h/c averaged 1597.00 per head. Thanks Audrey for a
powerful set of top quality cattle. KC Ranch Chet & Maryanne Larson
from Fort Fraser saw their 1200 lb. bred Simm/Angus X heifers trade to
3100.00 and Chets 1180 lb. bred heifers sold for 3200.00 and Chets
young cows sold for 3050.00. Double W Ranches sold some fancy
Gelbvieh X cows bred Black Gelbvieh sold for 3000.00. Solid Reds trad-
ed to 2750.00 and heifers set 2800.00 each. Clayton Steiner also sold
1100 lb. Simm/Angus X heifers for 3100.00 and Clayton’s bred cows
traded to 2150.00 each. Tatla Rose Ranch Inc/John & Cya Solecki of
Burns Lake sold 822 lb. steers for 220.00 and fancy 825 lb. heifers for
203.25. 769 lb. heifers at 209.00 even and 763 lb. steers at 230.00. Vern
Badry sold 1712 lb. Char X cows for 106.00 and Vern’s 2000 lb. bull
traded to 1126.00 even.

The quality in Kamloops Monday at the Bred Cow & Bred Heifer Sale
was outstanding as Peter & Sharon Philip started this sale. Their top qual-
ity Red baldie 1st calf heifers 1200 lbs. and sound sold to a top of
2650.00. Hugh & Shelly Graffunder were r ight on their heels with a
top set of Simmental Red Angus 1st calf heifers also 1200 lb. marking
2550.00. The Buse Creek Ranch/Larry & Holly Campbell also presented
a top pen of Simmental/Red Angus cross 1st calf heifers, they traded to
2450.00. the Cox Valley Hereford Cow Herd Dispersal sale saw their
of their 544 lb. h/c hit 248.00, their 474 lb. h/c notched 264.00. Reg Des-
mond had 558 lb. Bwf h/c top 252.00. Lars & Carol Satre with a great
pen of calves. Their pen of 62 s/c Angus/Limo/Simm cross 538 lb. and fan-
cy traded to 262.25. 31 head of their 460 lb. s/c saw 299.00. Lars and Car-
ol Satre put the test to our year ling trade with a liner load of premium
yearlings. 22 head of their 811 lb. yearling steers raced to 228.50. Their
load of 768 lb. heifers today high marked 209.75.

Angus cross bred cows power to 2350.00. Mel & Anne Campbell showcased a
beautiful pen of Red baldie 1st calf heifers, they weighed 1270 lb. and topped
2500.00. Their powerful young cows hit 2300.00. The Bob Mohr Estate Disper-
sal sale saw their young Black Angus cows race to 2400.00 with their fancy bred
heifers selling to 2450.00, his young Black Angus bred cows hit 2500.00. Ken
and Lisa Roos of Liske Farms featured 120 head of reputation 3rd calver
Angus cows, they sold to the top of 2575.00. Len Schmidt with a top pen of Red
baldie Bred heifers they traded to 2275.00. Mary Curnow set the quality stand-
ard today as she showcased a beautiful pen of Simmental/Red Angus cross 1st
calf heifers, they traded to 2425.00
KAMLOOPS SALE—TUESDAY Nov. 24 Well the numbers just keep rolling in with another 1300 head again today. Qual-ity again this week was huge as 9 contributors had over 800 head in. LAC Holdings from Grand Forks put a fire to this sale with 561 lb. Hereford s/c marking 240.50. Fred Woodman’s 503 lb. Angus h/c sold to 226.50. Ray & Joyce Doll of Heffley Creek saw their 754 lb. s/c hit 222.00, their load of 605 lb. s/c reached 248.00 and 630 lb. Angus h/c sold to 220.75, with their 536 lb. h/c selling to 239.25. George Little’s 715 lb. Red s/c rolled to 225.50. The Trails Creek Ranch 715 lb. s/c marked 230.00, a top group of their 660 lb. h/c notched 217.00. The Benedict Ranch today showcased 93 top calves, the big end 752 lb. Black Angus s/c hit 219.00. 36 head of their 658 lb. s/c marked 234.00. 44 head of their 550 lb. Angus cross s/c notched 254.25. John & Anne Grawehr saw their 17 head of 414 lb. s/c mark 322.00. Eric Bergstrand’s 663 lb. Red s/c rolled to 234.50, the 614 lb. s/c brought 237.00. Chuck Crosby had 718 lb. heavy good s/c trade to 230.75 and 640 lb. s/c trade to 237.75. The Indian Gardens Ranch top pen of 34 s/c 549 lb. they raced to 255.55, their pen of 482 lb. s/c notched 288.00, their 500 lb. h/c notched 245.00.
