KAMLOOPS REGULAR SALE, TUESDAY, JULY 16th

Another excellent sale here in Kamloops today as we showcased another 500

hd of cattle in the sale ring! Butcher cows and bulls made up more than half

the sale receipts. The Douglas Lake Cattle Co. started today’s tremendous

sale off with 20 hd of 1342 lb Hereford butcher cows that traded to 87.25.

Their next load of 34 cows, weighing 1448 lb, raced to 85.50 and 44 hd of

their solid 1424 lb cows, from their 3rd liner load, powered right up to 86.75.

Len & Marvin Tonn set the pace for feeder cattle with their 668 lb Red Angus

x s/c that topped 204.50 and their big strs, at 800 lb, hit 185.50. Their pen of

623 lb Red Angus hfrs saw 183.00 while their 1510 lb butcher cows rolled way

up to 86.00. Their younger cows, 1308 lb, notched 93.00. Rafter F Ranches

had heavy 1703 lb exotic butcher cows that marched all the way up to 89.75.

Leroy & Bernadine Peters brought in great butcher bulls that topped 114.50.

Ray & Joyce Doll saw their 1585 lb kill cows hit 88.00. Hiwan Ranch’s 2005

lb big Red bull sold to 113.50. Some real good and fancy light calves sold to-

day also. KIB Ranch’s 355 lb Angus b/c hit 220.00 and their 265 lb h/c rolled

to 210.00. their butcher cows reached 88.00. Frolek Cattle Co. saw their top

butcher cows march right up to 111.00. Elkink Ranch had 718 lb hfrs sell to

175.00 and their 568 lb hfrs traded at 186.00. Their butcher cows notched in

at 86.25. Jamie Payton’s 544 lb strs sold to 220.00. Our In-House Video Sale

for Campbell Lake Farms & Bar 07 Ranch was a huge success! 70

spayed hfrs called to weigh at 860 lb sold for 164.50. A huge thank you to all

the bidders and buyers who tuned in and made this video sale possible! Af-

ter the video sale we had Ian & Brenda Jones in with 591 lb strs that

grabbed 220.00. Kingsford Cattle Co. bought high yielding butcher cows to

the ring today. Their 1535 lb cows set the mark at 89.50 and their younger,

1190 lb, 2 yr old hfrs saw 119.00. J.N. Palmer had 878 lb strs that traded to

177.00. This was an exciting, smooth sale from start to finish! We had 14

buyers keeping all sales strong and a great crowd to keep the energy high.

Our next sale will be on Tuesday, July 30th, calls are rolling in and we al-

ready have over 200 yearlings and butcher cows & bulls being listed!
