What is Atmos Energy doing in my neighborhood? Atmos Energy is accelerating the upgrades to our natural gas system in your neighborhood. Due to our expanded safety surveys, we are replacing aging infrastructure with newer pipe which requires less maintenance and meets all current state and federal guidelines. How does this impact me? This replacement project will be completed in approximately 3-7 days and our crews will be working during daylight hours to minimize the impact to you. While we install the new line, you will still have gas service to your home. If a temporary disruption to service does occur, we will contact you directly or leave a door tag with next steps to restore service. When upgrading our natural gas lines, you’ll see us working in alleys and yards. This may include cutting holes in streets, alleys and driveways, plus digging in some yards. While work is going on, we will make temporary repairs to yards and sidewalks. When the work is complete, we will make arrangements with you to restore affected areas to their previous conditions.
