ADVENT CALENDAR: As a unique Advent prayerful resource, the Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference has provided its online Advent 2017 Calendar which can be enjoyed by people of all ages. The calendar is available online, and on your smartphone, on www.catholicbishops.ie. This year’s calendar focuses on the theme of family as we prepare together for next year’s World Meeting of Families in Dublin from 21 – 26 August. Each day during Advent, you are invited to click open a virtual door where you will find faith content for family, school and parish. During Advent, families are invited to take special time together to pray, to talk, and to be together.

Aifreann Gaeilge/Irish Language Missal: A new translation of the Roman Missal into Irish has just been launched by the Irish Bishops. We would welcome ideas about how best we can use the Irish language in the Liturgy in St Michael’s parish. St Michael’s Parish Bookshop - We have a wide selection of Nativity sets, Christmas gifts and ornaments, Christmas cards and cards for all occasions, books and religious goods available. Also new books to enjoy at Christmas: ‘To be Loved and to be Loved’ by Father Desmond O’Donnell; ‘Finding God in the Mass’ by Father Brendan McManus. We also have a wide range of greeting cards with details from the facade of the Church and pictures of the facade, all in various sizes, framed and unframed, designed and supplied by Devenish Gallery and available from the Bookstall in the church or our Parish Shop. A gift of Hope, Healing & Health – a day of inspiration organised by Aideen McGinley & Maureen Woods All proceeds in aid of counselling services at the Aisling Centre. Date: Saturday January 6th 10.00am – 5.00pm. Venue:- Fermanagh House, Enniskillen.

WORLD MEETING OF FAMILIES PETITION BOX: In common with all other parishes across Ireland, all families in

this parish are invited to write down their petitions and prayers and place them in a special petition box that is travelling through-out our diocese over the coming months. The Family Petition Box will be in our parish between 22nd December 2017 and 5th

January 2018. All petitions will be prayed for by religious communities across Ireland and brought to the Final Mass of the World Meeting of Families in Dublin on 26th August next, at which, we hope, Pope Francis will preside.
