is a venue quite unlike any other. Built in 1788 by celebrated architect Sir John

Soane, the estate has welcomed distinguished guests into its surroundings for centuries.

Explore our grounds to discover elegantly manicured lawns with views across the lake, then step inside to reveal interiors that have recently

undergone a £20 million transformation. Now, original features including fluted columns, dramatic ceilings and grand fireplaces blend beautifully

with contemporary interior design, creating a luxurious atmosphere for your wedding day.

Across the Estate, you’ll find a choice of two buildings; the Mansion House and Wokefield Place. Each offers the option of self-catering so when it

comes to dining, the choice is all yours. The Mansion House is filled with history and heritage, whilst Wokefield Place is bright, airy and a complete

blank canvas for you to create your dream day.

WELCOME

Nestled in Wokefield Place, this modern suite accommodates 280 for civil ceremonies and up to 400 for religious ceremonies. With the capacity for 300 guests for a seated banquet and a maximum total of 500 guests for the evening reception, this suite is perfect for

those larger celebrations. Included in the hire of the Wokefield Suite is also use of The Pantry for the day. This contemporary space is ideal for drinks receptions and seated meals for up to 160 guests. A satellite kitchen is located just behind the Wokefield Suite for

ease of access to ensure the day can run as smoothly as possible.

With a private bar, 222 bedrooms and leisure facilities, you can celebrate everything under one roof.

Ceremony and Celebration Spaces

Looking after all the small details so you can enjoy your big day.

All of our ceremony and celebration spaces have been recently refurbished to a high standard and the Terrace Suite is one striking example of the rejuvenation. Hosting up to 300 guests for a civil ceremony, 400 for a religious ceremony and 260 for a seated banquet, the suite features double doors leading onto a private terrace, with views

across the landscaped gardens, lake and grounds. Your caterers will have access to the main kitchen in the Mansion House when booking the beautiful Terrace Suite.

Your drinks reception will be held in a dedicated area within the Mansion House, whilst accommodation is plentiful for your

friends and family with 87 traditionally decorated bedrooms located in the same building.

Exclusive use of the Mansion House is available which includes hire of the Terrace Suite.

TERRACE SUITE TERRACE SUITE

Bathed in natural daylight, the characterful Lincoln Suite offers a memorable setting, seating up to 120 for civil ceremonies and 150 for religious ceremonies. Surrounded by beautiful views, your guests can take in the picturesque gardens and lake vistas, which of course also provide a wonderful backdrop for your wedding photographs. With seating

for up to 120 guests for a banquet and with a dedicated area for your drinks reception, the Lincoln Suite is an incredible space for your dream day. Your caterer will have access and exclusive use of kitchen space located directly next door to the Lincoln Suite.

Exclusive use of the Mansion House is available which includes hire of the Lincoln Suite.

For more intimate weddings with smaller numbers, the Palmer Suite and Old Lounge Suite are each licensed for 60 guests for a civil ceremony.

To make your wonderful wedding day last even longer, we include one of our Honeymoon Suites in your package. The property refurbishment has seen the introduction of 95 new bedrooms and 54 upgraded rooms, so your guests can carry on the celebrations too.

MANSION HOUSE SUITE

Take time to unwind before or after the celebrations in our elegant rooms. With views of either the beautiful grounds or lake lawn, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to reflect and unwind.

Along with king-size beds, roll-top baths, twin basins and stylish seating areas, each suite includes individual features to make the room unique. And just to make your stay as comfortable as can be, you’ll find high-quality complimentary robes and slippers in each suite.

SUPERIOR

Unwind in style with our fully refurbished Superior rooms. Here rich materials and stylish lighting are thoughtfully combined with the latest technology to create a welcoming space.

DELUXE

Our newly refurbished Deluxe rooms combine a range of exquisite furnishings to create a welcoming atmosphere. Classically decorated with rich materials and stylish lighting, the rooms also include all the comforts needed for a memorable stay, as well as the latest mod-cons and features. ONCE YOU’ VE BOOKED

Planning your wedding day should be both exciting and enjoyable. That’s why we’ll help to make sure all your arrangements run smoothly. If you have any questions at any point, our team will always be on hand and happy to advise.

Once you’ve booked your wedding with us, you will need to book your approved caterer from our extensive list. Other caterers can be audited in order to be added to this approved list and cater for your wedding at the venue.

THE BAR AND MUSIC

Here at De Vere Wokefield Estate we love celebrations. Our bar and music licence is until midnight Sunday – Thursday and 1am Friday and Saturday.

CONFETTI , F IREWORKS AND CHINESE LANTERNS

Biodegradable confetti can be thrown outside the venue. As De Vere Wokefield Estate is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, we do not permit fireworks or Chinese lanterns; however we do have contacts for silent fireworks for a fantastic light show to end your big day.

PRIVATE DINING

We can arrange a private dining experience the night before your wedding for your closest friends and family. Please speak to your Wedding Specialist for more details.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT

Check-in for you and your guests is from 3pm and check-out is at 11am.

Our gym and swimming pool in Wokefield Place are available for all guests to use during their stay.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Our beautiful grounds offer endless opportunities for all the photographs you’ll want to help remember your day. Due to other events that may be taking place on the same day, access to some areas of the grounds may be restricted. Please ask your Wedding Specialist for more details.

FLARES , HORSES , DRUMS & HELICOPTERS

We understand the importance of arriving in style, so we’re happy to accommodate flares, horses, drums and helicopters at the venue. Please send all necessary documentation if you would like to land a helicopter on our helipad in advance of your wedding. If you have any queries or would like to bring something that isn’t mentioned above, please speak to your Wedding Specialist who will be more than happy to help you.

HERE’S OUR GUIDE TO HELP WITH TIMINGS

FOUR MONTHS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

Our talented local florists will be happy to chat through your table arrangements and colour schemes. This is also the time to start thinking about chair covers, styling and the finer details.

ONE MONTH BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

Finalise your details with your caterer who will then send them on to us at the venue.

THE DAY BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

You’re very welcome to leave any little extras with us such as gifts, favours and cameras, ready for your wedding, labelled with your names, date of your wedding and any instructions.

THE END OF THE NIGHT

Once your wedding day has drawn to a close, our team will store any belongings from the room overnight, for you to collect the following morning.

Please provide a list of items to be saved; this may include copies of your menus, place cards and seating plan. They’ll be lovely memories to treasure of your wedding day.

Although we will do our utmost to take care of your keepsakes, De Vere Wokefield Estate cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to items.
