Dogs must be on a short leash (6’ or less) and under the control of a responsible owner, who is age 16+. strollers/baby joggers are welcome. This course starts and ends at maple street Park, and travels the roads/sidewalks throughout the Countryside development. Various awards will be presented to dogs in the small (up to 25lbs), medium (26-50lbs), and large (51+lbs) dog categories.

If I could Only Paddle like A doggy…If I could Only Paddle like A doggy…starting at 12pm, the maple street Pool will be open for the dogs. The entrance fee will be $5 per dog. There is no charge per person. Please note, this event is for dogs to swim in the pool, not for people. Both the small and large pool will be open, including the low diving board. Dogs must be on leash from the parking lot into the pool area. Please do not bring toys that your dog is possessive over, however, you may bring balls, Frisbees or other toys that they won’t mind sharing.

Races �th Annual Essex Half MarathonFor the last five summers runners have loved this out and back course, with a loop in the middle, and we are gearing up for a bigger and better race in 2017! The race starts at essex High school before bringing racers to the country back roads of essex. At mile 4, runners will encounter a one mile incline and leg burn while trying to conquer Curve Hill. runners will feel the comfort of the dirt roads as they run their way up and down the hills of Lost Nation road. The turn-around spot is the end of Lost Nation road, at the intersection of Old stage road. runners will continue back on Lost Nation road before cruising down Lamore, back onto Colchester road to Old Colchester road, towards the finish. Friends, loved ones, and fans will be cheering as runners sprint to the finish. The cutoff time for this event is 3 hours. The essex Half marathon is a certified course. We are not a part of the Champlain Valley swim League and do not have formal, weekly meets. However, swimmers are welcome to participate in the community swim meets. 20 Visit Punch Pass $160 yOgA: hAthAyOgA: hAthAThis class will offer a combination of yoga postures. expect a good workout and a little breath work. some restorative poses will be included. We will end the class with a long shavasana to prepare for the week ahead – good to heal any body aches from the weekend activity.

yOgA: BegInneryOgA: BegInnerYou will practice the importance of alignment, breathing techniques, and learn the basic postures. An emphasis is placed on non-judgment while you get to know your body. Individual attention is available (if you like) and questions are encouraged. Laughter is anticipated. You will have the opportunity, in a safe environment, to gain flexibility, improve balance, and create more energy. You may find ways to have less stress in your life and a greater compassion for yourself. Class closes with shavasana.

yOgA: AdVAnced BegInneryOgA: AdVAnced BegInnerIf you feel comfortable and confident moving through basic poses, this is most likely for you. The poses will flow from one to another more quickly than with a beginner class. expect to practice the basic poses, but with some challenging poses added into the mix that require more strength, flexibility, and balance such as Half moon, the arm balance, Crow, and standing split. The fun is in experimenting with some postures you may not be trying at home.

yOgA: VInyASA FlOWyOgA: VInyASA FlOWIn this Vinyasa flow-style class we will practice linking breath with movement through a changing sequence of both challenging and calming poses. This is a slightly more energetic form of yoga that allows students to experience a variety of sensations in the body. Willingness to try new things and to laugh at yourself is recommended. Beginners and experienced practitioners of yoga are welcome! Come as you are.

r.I.P.P.e.d.™ r.I.P.P.e.d.™ (resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics, endurance and Diet) is a total body workout utilizing resistance and cardio training in a routine that is enjoyable, accessible and highly effective. The constantly changing format ensures maximum results, while burning 750-1000 calories in a single 50-minute workout. By stimulating different energy systems and muscle groups in each segment, and mixing up the routine every few minutes, r.I.P.P.e.D. keeps your body guessing and improving, and keeps your mind engaged. r.I.P.P.e.D. is constantly challenging but never, ever boring.
