GRNERS ON TRACK FOR THE SOUTH BEACH PEAK PERFORMER TRIP AS OF MARCH 31ST CASH-IN:
Generation
Just getting to know the millennial workforce? Before you know it, they will be your next
Hiring Manager. There’s a bigger more interesting group looming large. Multiple sources
describe Gen Z in ways that may surprise you. Career progression is key. Half are planning
to own their own business. They are tech savvy and ever-connected, yet they prefer in-
person communication over email and text. At 20 years of age they discuss the need for
real perks along their career path, jobs with purpose and bosses they can respect. As baby
boomers continue to exit, we need to understand their replacements. At the May Meeting,
you’ll hear more about this opportunity to rise above the competition. From A to Z.

Shirley McKinney has left us. Last week, GRN Calgary lost one of our own. We had the privilege of working with Shirley for over
5 years, and in those years we fostered a great working relationship based on mutual respect and admiration for one another.
We were a team. To say she was a ‘ghter,’ would be an understatement. It was her most prolic attribute. She displayed
this tough nature until the very end. Just three weeks ago, in the face of a very aggressive terminal illness, she was deantly
planning her return to work. Despite her resilience, she lost her ght. Leaving behind her accomplished children with
their own families, and a crowd of grandchildren that loved her, was the ultimate win for her. The pride and joy you could
see in her eyes when she talked about her family was precious, heartwarming.
Today it is a sad day at GRN Calgary. We miss her. We’ll continue to treasure the memories of the short, yet intense time we
worked together. And Shirley, when you get to heaven, surrounded by the angels while you’re still making cold calls…
we know you’ll be watching over your beautiful family and, maybe a little bit, on all of us.
Always Remembered
