The OpportunityThe Vice President of Development position is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional who possesses an innovative fundraising vision and a dedication to achieving results.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President of Development serves as the University’s chief fundraising official and is responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive institutional fund development programs to acquire the financial support necessary to fuel achievement of the University’s vision and continued growth.

Charged with leading and growing all fund development activities for the University, The Vice President of Development must create and successfully implement a strategic fundraising plan which leverages ‘best practices’ in processes and metrics to significantly increase the levels of sustainable, diversified fundraising dollars to the University.

The Vice President of Development must exceed personal fundraising goals through active personal engagement and management of high value donors and prospects while at the same time leading and developing a highly effective team of people who make successful and lasting contributions to the University’s mission.

The successful candidate will possess a passion for advancing the mission of Franciscan University, significant senior level fundraising experience, a proven track record of providing strategic direction for a comprehensive development program, extensive experience in leading fundraising professionals, as well as a demonstrated history of consistently exceeding individual and organizational goals.
