Conquer YourselfEveryone has limits. But we never know our limits unless they have been put to test. Never say “This is allI can do, unless you’ve tried to do it.” You all have resources. You just need to find it and the first place tolook is within yourself. Our skills double when we face danger. At that moment we see, hear and move faster. It shows that we arecapable to act and do much more than we think. We are just too afraid at times. But what are we afraid of?Are we afraid that we may find our true strengths? Or we just need to be pushed to find our true potential? What is the most universal human characteristic: fear or laziness? Some of us aren’t just bothered “So what,I’m weak? So what, I am not using my abilities to the best?” These are questions that can never be answered. But think about it a while; if someone starts asking you same questions, how will you feel? If all the greatleaders fuss ‘So what, the country is unhappy?’, if your grocer yells ‘So what, you’re hungry?’, if yougarbage collector says ‘So what if your home is dirty? How would you sense? Replace that acidic “So what?”to the hopeful “What if?”“What if you become worth remembering?”“What if you make people proud of you?”The things that’s worse than quitting or failing is believing that you are weak and that’s all you are capableof. When you start to say, “This is the way I am and there’s nothing I can do about it”, that is when you hitthe rock bottom. No one can help you in such a situation. Even the skills that you have mastered will be awaste with such an attitude.Believe in yourself, and then only you can expect others to believe in you. Start to care. Even if no one elsedoes. The last person to give up you should be yourself.

Powers and Responsibilities of PressIn a democratic country, the need of press is much crucial and important. The press makes the public availa news. It makes the people aware of what is happening and what should happen or perhaps what shouldhave happened. It helps in creating up opinions or making re-think about the same. Press is not just a mediaof information. The news may be dyed with views and comments upon the news challenging your opinionscreating a debate in mind. Press has the power to challenge or change one's opinions, it keeps the power ofmaking or breaking the government. Press keeps the capacity of calming down people or playing up theirpassion. Press has a major impact on political, social and economic life. Thus, it has a major responsibilityin delivering the accurately judged news. The press must investigate the news carefully before reporting it,in such a way it has the potential to fight backward ideas such as casteismand communalism in a country like India. Thus, a responsible press usesits power for developing the country's status. If the press is responsibleand free to use, their powers in right direction without any kind of biasedthoughts then the people of the country are safe, much enlightened to takethe right decision. Here we must take a note that unbiased press is more efficient. Makingpeople rightly aware and making the minds think right is one of the majorresponsibility of the press.

Internet of Things is a concept which is connected to everyday objects with a network-from industrialmachines to wearable device-using built in sensor and smart technology to gather data across all theconnected devices and automatically configure or adjust them according to one’s need. In short, theInternet Of Things is a futuristic technology that has started making our lives more efficient. The word Internet Of Things or IOT was coined in 1990s by entrepreneur Kevin Ashton. He was oneof several minds behind Auto-ID center MIT. He was part of the team that discovered how to linkObjects to the Internet through an RFID tag.Today’s analytics enables organisation to unlock the unlimited possibility of IOT. A new generation ofsmarter cities and connected vehicles reduce not only the space problem but also limit the air pollution.Manufacturers have proved the efficiency of IOT with predicted maintenance and optimizingproduction. Now a day, Utility companies are using IOT for smart grid to know when and where theyexactly need the power demand and provide retailers to give personalise customer experience acrossany channel. When we talk about IOT we mean a hybrid network of devices which can do machine to machinecommunication, sense and evaluate the data using sensors and making best use of it. Although all thedata gathered by the sensors in the world is of no use if there isn't any centralized data processing unitand infrastructure in place to analyse it in real time.So the problem of centralized data processing unit is solved by Cloud computing to analyse data at realtime. The cloud computing helps us to access data at anytime and anywhere which is collected by allthe machines and sensors together. Now a day The Internet Of Thing is connecting more and more devices and its number is continuouslyincreasing and we’re headed to a world that will have 24 billion IOT devices by 2020.At first look this technology have several benefits for human beings and this world. But for securityexperts and techies this technology has several security concerns. The experts are well aware of thebenefits because of linked technology, like reduced pollution, increased efficiency and many otherbenefits. The reason for these benefits i.e. connected devices with internet connection are of biggestconcern for security and cyber experts as the increase in connected devices give hackers and cybercriminals more entry points. There are many examples of IOT like in 2015, a group of hackers took down a power grid in a regionof Ukraine to cause the first blackout from a cyber-attack that means one small security breach in anIOT network can take down whole network. Moreover, the Cyber criminals use this IOT for cyber-attacks like DDOS. In 2016, a malicious Botnetcalled Mirai took down half of the Europe’s Internet down. The attackers infect the machines that arepart of IOT that hardly go offline like smart watches, smart refrigerator etc. To do the coordinatedbombarding a server until it collapses under the strain.Ashutosh Gupta01113702015BCA IV (M)

Attitude Is Everything!

“The longer I live, the more I understand the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more importantthan the reality. It is more important than the past, the education and money than circumstances, failure, successes and what other people think, say or do. It is more important than representation, giftedness orproficiency. It will make or break a company, a church, a home. The remarkable thing is we have achoice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past, wecannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The onlything we can do is play on the string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10%what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it.”

How true this is! Each of us gets up every day without even thinking about it we go about our routines, planning for the day ahead, and thinking aboutevents, people, places, circumstances, andrealities of yesterday. We pretty much act theway we did yesterday and the day before thatbecause we live on time line that seemsboundless. We can’t quite remember when wewere only two weeks old but we know we hadto be at one time to get this far. And we don’tthink much about the end of our lives as themere thought is too heavy to consider beforeour first cup of coffee or tea.So, instead we live out another day mostly in

a state of reaction to circumstances. Surprises pop up in the daily mail, on the computer e-mail accountsand even on the front page of the daily newspaper. A lot of us develop feelings about we are part of andhave some measure of control. All of this impacts our view of the rest of reality as we work through the challenges of the day. Andover time we get used to the way our circumstances shape our view of our selves. We can easily becomea “victim” of our own circumstances if we allow that little voice in our heads to keep reminding us ofhow bad things are.In fact, things are not bad – they are simply what they are – good, bad, or indifferent. But for us toobserve without reacting we have to remind ourselves that we are simply observers of our own world, not victims of it. To achieve this, we have to use what I call “self-talk”, and what the experts call“affirmations”. An affirmation is a statement you make to yourself over and over throughout the day sothat in a few hours you are less inclined to allow circumstances control you. Instead, you are able to seecircumstances for what they really are and apply your strength of purpose in dealing with them.

I still remember

I still remember the first day we metWe were too shy to say something at all

It's funny to think back to that timeThey say that true friendship is rareAn adage that I believe to be true

Our bond is extremely specialIt is unique in its own way

We have something irreplaceableWe've been through so much together

In so little time we've sharedI will never forget all the moments

that you've shown me how much you cared.Friends are forever

especially the bond that you and I possessI love your fun-filled personality

Somehow you never fail to impress. The world could use more people like you

it would certainly be a better placeI love everything about you

you are someone I could never replace. You are always there for me

when my spirits need a little liftI cannot thank you enough for thatyou are truly an extraordinary gift. You are everything to me and moreI could never express that enough

You are so dear to meYou know I will love you until the end

I will always be there for you, andYou will always (and forever) be my best

person of life

You must not quit

I know this must be very difficult to explainWhen

Everyday seems same as all over againIt’s when

I started to hate my fateThe only way that remain

Was to run awayBecause

I am tired of playing this game

And sometimes it feels like "why is thishappening to me??”

Am I am not capable to stayBut trust me

It isn’t that strangeYou all must have gone through this pain

But today I am here to explain thatWait

Don’t explain, just waitHold on to the things

Coz that is gonna give you the wings

You will rise for sureAnd then it will be your choice

So stick to the fight when you are hardest hitIt’s when things seems worse,

ButYou must not QUIT

Bridging the Skill Gap Among MBA Graduates

A skills gap is a significant gap between an organization’s current capabilities and the skills it needs toachieve its goals and meet customer demand. It is the point at which an organization may not be able togrow or remain competitive because it cannot fill critical jobs with employees who have the rightknowledge, skills, and abilities. In the present scenario, skill gap is a major concern in the education system. Since MBA is one of thepopular course being chosen after graduation by students, it is immensely important to study thedeficiency that the student has even after passing the course. It is generally observed that skill gap isthere among the MBA graduates upon completion of their course due to which either they are not ableto get placement or even if placed are not able to perform effectively. It has been observed that practical exposure is not being given to students of what they are taught anddue to this, they find themselves incompetent in their professional career. The curriculum of universityis not altered regularly due to which the students feel that what is being taught is only partially appliedin professional career. The Quality of Education also has a direct impact on the skill gap.

There are three major skills required in professionalcareer i.e. Administrative skills which includesmultitasking, negotiation, technical skills, goalorientation, entrepreneurial skills, and ability toprioritize, Managerial skills which include team work, problem solving, initiative, time management, thinkingand planning, motivational thinking and creativity, andInterpersonal skills which include leadership, communication and presentation skills. The institutes must aim to cut this gap by throwing lighton the present trends along with the theoreticalknowledge. It must be noted that theoretical knowledge

is indeed required for passing the examination, and it does serve as a base for getting practical exposure.Henceforth, proportionate mix of both must be included in the pedagogy. Also, skills education should be made compulsory from the initial phase of MBA. At the level ofuniversity, focus should be on altering the curriculum of the MBA program so that there is no deviationbetween what is expected by the industry and what is being studied. In order to make the studentscompetitive in placements, initially, they should be given classes on aptitude so as to make them eligiblefor further rounds of placement and then emphasis on quality sessions of group discussions and personalinterviews. More practical exposure should be given to students through industry interactions in theform of workshops and live projects. If possible, experts should be called from the industry in order tomake the students aware about the current industry trends and also to conduct group discussions andpersonal interviews effectively.

Path from Demonetization to RemonetizationDemonetization is the act of stripping a currency unit of its status as legal tender. It occurs wheneverthere is a change of national currency. The current form or forms of money is pulled from circulationand retired, often to be replaced with new notes or coins. Sometimes, a country completely replaces theold currency with new currency.India is no new to demonetization. In its history, demonetization has been implemented twice -1946and 1978, in addition to the latest step that took place on 8th November, 2016. On 12th January 1946,notes of ₹500, ₹1,000 and ₹ 10,000 were removed from circulation, followed by a ban on ₹1,000, ₹5,000 and ₹ 10,000 notes on 16th January 1948, followed by the latest ban on currency notes of ₹ 500and ₹ 1,000 on 8th November 2016.Some of the advantages of demonetization are that it will help in destroying black money and fakecurrency. Demonetization will also help in major reduction in the funding of terror organizations. It willalso lead to an increase in tax revenue and reduction in corruption, at least for the time being, whichwill further lead to fair elections. While there are a number of advantages of demonetization, it has led to a major discomfort among thepeople, and therefore it also has a number of disadvantages. While some people were at ease during thisperiod, the highly affected people faced major inconvenience who had to stand in long queues for anumber of days just to get a minimal amount exchanged with the new currency. This lead to a numberof deaths and rage among the Indians. Demonetization also lead to currency destruction and a highinitial rise in corruption. However, in this period the big fishes were still left. The major points of Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi’s speech on demonetization were that he saidthat he had to take this major step on the demand of the people to fight against black money andcorruption. He also said that he understands the inconvenience caused to the people because of this, butalso assured them that it is just a matter of 50 days, after which everything will be crystal clear. He saidthat it is his dream to make India corruption free and build a cashless economy. The reason which led to demonetization was that there was an increase in the circulation of notes of alldenominations by 40% between 2011-2016, in which ₹ 500 notes had increased by 76% and those of₹1000 had increased by109%, while the economy had expanded by just 30%.The plan for demonetization started from ‘Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana’, further was forwarded tothe Income tax Department and was finally implemented in the nation. For the next step of remonetization to be implemented, people were given 50 days to exchange the oldcurrency notes with the new ones. The last date to exchange notes from the bank was 30th December2016, whereas from the RBI was 31st March 2017. The restriction on the amount of currency to beexchanged per person was ₹ 4,000 and to be withdrawn was ₹ 10,000.Finally, as of December 30th, 2016, The Reserve Bank of India received about ₹15 lakh crores worthof junked or old ₹1000 and ₹500 notes as part of demonetization against as expected to be ₹ 15.4 lakhs.

About LifePeople say life is a myth, but I wonder if it is. If grave, is a goal. What we can do? Life is like an airwhich can’t be seen whatever happens. Life is a journey, not a destination. Life cannot be described byone or two words, it is a mixture of everything. The blend of happiness and sadness, success and failure, comfort and pain, encouragement and frustrations, love and hate, relief and sorrow, struggle and givingup. Life is not perfect, but it is beautiful.Everyone takes a step in a very unique way. This journey may take you down by great storms andbumpy roads, but it does not matter, what matters the most is how many times you stand up to continueeach moment in the journey of life you are presented with a different opportunity to react differently.I am again saying that life is a mixture of happiness and sadness, nobody grew up with a constantemotions. Many situations will test our emotions. It will make us happy, sad or angry, but we mustremember, it is just a test given to us to make us stronger.Life is a game and the only rule is there is no mistake, only lesson to learn. You won’t always be awinner, unless it is not a game. You must struggle to survive but don’t be greedy to succeed at theexpense of others. At last I just want to say that life is what we make it and it is not just our fate as it’stoo big to be expressed.BE HAPPY, BE COURAGEOUS, and BE PASSIONATE, about it my friend because there is lot oftesting yet to be done. According to me the full form of life isL- LAUGHTER IN TIMES OF SADNESS AND WOESI- INTEGRITY, IN ONE’S OWN BELIEFF- FORTITUDE TO BE INDEPENDENT AND AN INDIVIDUALE- ENJOYMENT IN CONTENT IN LIFE WITHOUT EXPECTATIONS.

NEW BEGINNING

As usual, the sun did setAnd the moon did came

But, today it was something differentSome newness in the old routineIt was the end of different things.

While it was setting,I could witness the blood red colour

It felt like a valley of blood was flowingBut it was beautiful in its own sense

The moon started appearingPeople were still flying kites

Some were present there to witness thebeginning and end of old and new things

Everything was following its routineBut everything felt newness in its own sense.

For every individual, whoever he is, his life is important. When his life is important, hiswellbeing is also important. People invest a lot of time on their wellbeing. You may findsomeone has invested a good 25 years to become an engineer, to earn a living. He has investedhalf his life to build his family. But how much time has he invested for his inner wellbeing?Today, everyone is busy managing and fixing the outside situation. But no matter how muchyou fix outside situations, you can never fix them one hundred percent. No one can. Affluentsocieties in the world are a living example of this. They fix their outside sufficiently, but lookat their condition. For example in United States, the outside is adequately settled but asignificant percentage of the population is on anti-depressants. They have to take medicationsjust to remain sane on a daily basis! That is not wellbeing! As there is a science to create external wellbeing, similarly there is a science – the yogicscience to create one’s inner wellbeing. Those of you, who are successful enough – at least in your material life – understand thatunless you do the right thing, it will not work. Or do you still believe you can do idiotic thingsand tell a prayer and everything will be okay? No. You know if you have to be successful inthe outside world you have to do the right things. Otherwise it will not work. What makes youthink it is not true with the internal? Unless you do the right thing it will not work there also. The yogic science helps to create our inner health through which you become the master ofyour own destiny.Nothing is predetermined, not even death. Everything has been created by you. The problemis you create most of it unconsciously, so you think it is being heaped upon you fromsomewhere else. If you can create something unconsciously, you can also create itconsciously. That is the whole effort of all spiritual processes – to see that you create your lifeconsciously instead of blundering through it by creating it unconsciously.Once you make that effort, you will see more and more of your life becoming self-determined,not pre-determined. If you have mastery over your physical body, 15 to 20% of your life anddestiny will be in your hands. If you have mastery over your mind, 50 to 60% of your life anddestiny will be in your hands. If you have mastery over your very life energy, 100% of yourlife and destiny will be in your hands to such an extent that you can choose the moment ofdeath, as to when and how you should die – and I am not referring to suicide. You can choosethe womb in which you will be born, how you will be born – every moment of your life canbecome self-determined.

Importance of Sports in Life

One can consider a healthy mind only when our body is healthy. Both physical and mental well-beingis the prerequisite of great achievements in a man’s life. Sports and games are not only important forsuccess in studio but is important for success in every walk of our life.People who have a busy schedule get tired very easily. As we all know, to live a relaxed and comfortlife we need a sound mind as well as a sound body. Like education is necessary to get name, fame andmoney. In the same way is getting a sound mind and body. Everyone must involve in some type ofphysical activities for which sports is the perfect way.

Outdoor games such as football, cricket, volleyball, hockey, running, etc. helps in improving physical health aswell as mental fitness. However, someindoor games like brain games, chess,Sudoku, etc. improves our mental powerand concentration level.Sports and games are beneficial to us asthey guide us punctuality, discipline, patience, teamwork and dedication.Playing sports help us in building andimproving our confidence level as well. It teaches us to go ahead in life by discarding all theweaknesses. It makes us bold and gives a feeling of happiness by reducing the occurrence of anxiety. Itmakes us physically fit and mentally strong with which we can easily conquer our problems. It is considered that both, sports and strength are two sides of the same coin. It is true that a person whogets involved in sports activities has more strength than the normal person without any physicalexercise. A person interested in sports can develop great body strength and make his/her career brightby participating in any sports at national or international level. Playing sports helps in building upimmune system, maintaining physical coordination, enhancing body strength and improving our mentalpower.

And now everything looked like heavenBecause I've been through hell.”

How could I not mention my family? When they were always by my side

They guided my pathThis is how I finished my interview

Followed by an applaudEverything suddenly got consumed in the black hole of nothingness

I slipped from my bedAnd fell into reality before I could actually enjoy

It was goneThat's when I decided to dream with not close,

The Key to SuccessThe key to success is not a mystery. It's just what you love, you do & follow your passion and you must possess enthusiasm, determination, confidence, hard work creative ideas and positivity towards life. There are people who do not follow their passion and that's the reason they do not enjoy their workplace and are not happywith their life.To illustrate this there are certain people who manage their chores, but they do not have their interest, possession on their workdue to some obligations and responsibilities, but they are desired to become an entrepreneur but due to risk and lack ofknowledge they do not hence they don’t succeed and do not enjoy life. I am not forcing that we have to follow our passion tobecome a successful person, but after at a certain age, we have to stick to it like you cannot pop out your business in a day orin a couple of hours by simply pursuing your passion. For that firstly you have to take experience by operating under anindividual, hard work creative ideas, abilities and skill and then, when you think you are capable and possess skill you canaccompany your interest and passion, and success will go after you like that of Srikanth Bolla.

Srikanth Bolla is a 24-year-old blind entrepreneur from Hyderabad. When he was born, his parents, who were earning Rs20,000 in a year, were advised to get rid of him, but somehow, he survived.

Despite getting 90% in class 10th, he was not allowed to choose Science stream for 12th; he sued the State Govt., fought for6 months, and won the case. He scored 98% with Science in 12th. When IITs and NITs didn’t give him the hall ticket forwriting competitive exams, he applied overseas, and got selected in the 4 best colleges ever on Earth: MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, and Carnegie Mellon. He chose Massachusetts Institute of Technology, received a scholarship, and was MIT's firstInternational blind student. After returning from US in 2012, he launched Bollant Industries, where 60% of employees are poor and physically challenged. This 450 employees company is now worth Rs 50 crore, and recently, Ratan Tata invested in his venture.Does degree matters for success? The answer to above question is a big NO, as there are so many persons who are undergraduate or college dropout and aresuccessful. The list goes as follows:

Dhirubhai Ambani: He never went to college but was a successful businessman and wasfounder of reliance group. No one could have imagined then that the former student ofJunagadh’s Bahadur Kanji High School, who during the sixties lived in a one-room chawl inMumbai with his wife and children, would be ranked by Forbes as the world’s 138th-richestperson, with an estimated net worth of $2.9 billion in 2002.He was fond of quotable quotes, one of these being: “If you don’t build your dream, someoneelse will hire you to help them build theirs”.Another important factor for success is PASSION, which is the powerful feeling ofenthusiasm we all have inside us. We are all enthusiastic and passionate about something, whether its finance, food or a favourite sport. That enthusiasm is very strong. When we merge

it with our work, we are setting ourselves up for attaining genuine success. When we are enthusiastic and proud of the work we execute, the betterequipped we'll be to defeat the many obstacles that will surely come up inthe process of beginning a business or running up in a career. Likewise, themore enthusiasm we receive, the more inclined we are to work harder atimproving ourselves. This will permit us to continually find more adept atthe work we execute. The more honest we grow at our work, the better wecan get paid for managing it like Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

It is about the passion, zeal & never quit approach of a Hero.At last I want to conclude that nothing is impossible and success will be afteryou, if you are determined, passionate, enthusiastic hard-working andfocused about your work.Rohit Gupta36021101716BBA II (E)

Experience at IITM has been extraordinary, right fromthe day one to the last. All the teachers have beensupportive and made us learn beyond the books.Classes have been interactive and the knowledgegained from them can't be gained from anywhere else.We never had any classes with one sidedcommunication from teachers, on the other hand ourteachers have always adopted innovative classroomteaching methods. Cultural programs, managementdevelopment programs and guest lectures also help todevelop personality. My overall experience at IITMwas unforgettable and made me a betterknowledgeable person when I stepped out of it after 2years.Anjum TanwarMBA (2014-2016)

I owe whatever I am today to IITM andwill be there when ever IITM needs me and calls me.Osheen Sahajpal (DELOITTE)BCA (2013-2016)

My journey with IITM started like a normal casualguy but, it was somewhat mystical. I got to chooseIITM in my second counselling. I believe, at somepoint in our life, we do need support of a person whocan push us and motivate us, and in IITM, I gotcouple of such people. Those people were the IITMfaculty. I still don’t believe that in those three years,I got teachers who were really supportive, humble, and motivational, our path guidance and friendly. Ireally want to thank all my mentors for supportingme in my hard times and guiding me from the firstday of college to the last, and for the coming entirelife as well. Last but not the least the ones who weremy second-best part of IITM, my friends. We reallyhad fun together in fiestas, DJ's, and even during the

lectures, which were the most memorable days of my life. Earlier I used to be a shy and underconfident person without a path, but the three years of my life at IITM completely changed me.Sooner did I realize that with the support of IITM and the lecturers, nothing can stop me fromfulfilling my dreams. Today what I am is all because of the IITM family. I really thank you fromthe bottom of my heart. Thanks!Saurav Bhandari (DELOITTE)BCA (2013 – 2016)

This prestigious institution has given me some unforgettableimpressions - IITM, an unobtrusive place where life mantras, discussions of everyday importance and an occasional classbunk breathe together, side by side. Each and everything that Ihave actively taken part in, is now helping me lead my life ofdiscipline, well-built responsibility, commitment, andsincerity. I would like to pay my gratitude to all the professorswho have taken out some precious moments from their livesand shared with me in lectures, making me feel better. Yourefforts never go unnoticed and it is because of all those lessons, that I am here, a successful entrepreneur and an educationalfranchisee holder of 5 different ones which are recognizedworldwide. My students have won prizes at both, national andinternational platforms. And all of this has been possible onlybecause of the time and efforts which Ms. Latika Malhotra,Ms. Asha Chauhan, Ms. Anjali Khita, Dr. Gagandeep kaur,Ms. Leena Chopra, Dr. Sheela Bhargava have invested in me. I was following the path shown tome by these incredible women which gave me the courage to open my institute. I would also liketo give special thanks to our Director ma’am Dr. Rachita Rana and Chairman Sir Shri J.C Sharmaji. They all have helped me reach my current potential.I am filled with extreme pride when I introduce myself as an alumnus of IITM where most werehere to heal my wounds when I fell and then were there to pick me up just so I could run again. This has been, and will always be my second humidor in which I have my professors and mentorsto thank. You are what makes IITM; without you it’s just an empty building made of bricks andmortar. It has been a massive treat to make memories here which will stay within me till the end.Sukrit Kapoor (DRONA’S LEARNING)BBA (2013 - 2016)
